How do you ask for an extension on acceptances?
Did anyone ask for/recieve additional aid? Does everyone think their going to attend despite the high tuition?
hi, I don’t believe transfers can appeal for more aid. as much as I want to attend, I don’t think it’s the best option given that i’d be graduating with a six figure student loan debt
also just to clear the air, i called the FA office this morning and if ur financial aid package is loaded on albert, ur upfront cost of attendance is already fully posted and loaded
@ianmac5 my checklist for NYU hasn’t changed at all. I’m quite concerned about what’s happening. Any idea?
@maaaav I’m very confused about why I haven’t received a decision yet. Is it supposed to be done within a span of 2 weeks?
when did u apply? @beholdsehkhaveer
Is there a facebook group for admitted transfers ?
hey can someone add me to the stern applicant group chat?
@beholdsehkhaveer I received my acceptance on May 12
I know this has been asked already but is there a chat/group for fall 2020 transfer admits? or one for gallatin?
do you guys think that we’re going to receive some decisions tomorrow?
hey guys i got accepted two days ago but I haven’t received my financial aid package yet… is this normal?
yes, they take 7-10 days usually
hi, I would like to be added to the Stern group chat. what should I do?
seems like most stern applicants are yet to hear back
This was released in a statement back in April “For the fall, we are planning to be open and to resume in-person classes in New York City, while preparing for a number of different scenarios, such as supporting those who cannot attend in-person classes; planning for the safety of students, faculty, administrators and staff; and preparing for whatever guidelines or restrictions are in place,”
But personally I have a feeling that NYU won’t be open for in person classes during the fall just because of Covid. And since NYU released a statement basically expressing how much money they’ve lost because of the pandemic I don’t think they plan on lowering tuition either which really sucks.
I’m not sure if I want to commit to NYU with all of this uncertainty with such. high price tag.
