Did anyone call admissions today?
@iatatpgchfe i got accepted into emerson (last choice), but i haven’t heard back from nyu and lmu. nyu’s session for film & tv starts may 26, so i doubt that they would only give me a week to respond to an acceptance
@hydrangea78 I saw two sessions for transfer. One starts on May 26, one starts on July 6.
@innok when you submitted your application for film & tv, it asked you to confirm that you’re okay with attending a summer session. https://tisch.nyu.edu/film-tv/admissions_film_tv_portfolio/transferring-to-undergraduate-film—tv look at: start date if accepted. and the reason why i say may 26 is because that’s when the summer session for nyu online starts: http://www.nyu.edu/admissions/summer-sessions.html
i just called and they said that i should hear back from now to anytime this month (which we’ve all heard before)
@hydrangea78 I feel your pain. Emerson though…amazing school. I doubt you’ll be disapointed if you end up going there
@innok yes i just called and the person clarified that for me that there are two sessions. i just assumed it would be only one since the program for film is small already and applicants from previous years heard back the first week of may

i’m so thankful for emerson! it’s just i live in mass so it’s too close to my hometown if you get what i mean haha
Yeah I totally get you @hydrangea78 . I’m at Northeastern right now and this semester I took a narrative filmmaking course with a teacher who is full time at Emerson and teaches this one class an NEU. And that man was incredible. I am not sure what the rest of the staff is like, but holy s**t just this one guy changed my entire life. -
the amount of time that this is taking is really frustrating.

@marcocampiani3 oh my god i’m so glad that you had such a good experience! yeah from what i hear their department and faculty is AMAZING so i’m really hoping the best haha
If i can see my “Estimated Cost of Attendance” screen through Albert and it says there are no awards to display does that mean i did not get any financial aid or does that mean it hasn’t loaded/been uploaded yet or could it be either?

If anyone’s still stressed about not hearing a decision, I recommend watching Avatar the Last Airbender. It’s on Netflix again, and tbh, it’s kept my mind of this lol. (I applied to Tisch Drama btw)
