Quick question! When you pay the deposit for enrollment, does that mean we have to withdraw all other applications in other schools or can we wait for their responses?

@Dudu123456 this is my understanding which is what is making my decision so hard. I am still waiting to hear from one other school, but have to give NYU an answer by next Tuesday.
@gabsPL I’m not sure you can just lay the deposit while waiting. My understanding is that when you lay the deposit, you must withdraw all of your other applications.
@JRPdance I am not sure what I will do. I am still waiting on hearing from one other school (notification in June), but only have until next Tuesday to let NYU know. The $$$$ is definitely a factor.

@yankeefan20 I think she is leaning towards not accepting, she loves the program- the teachers, atmosphere and students, did the summer residency as a visiting student but the reality is without the financial aid taking on the full debt load is not a viable option when looking at the big picture. Admissions and the Dance department were wonderful and understanding and really trying to make it work with the circumstances. Financial Aid taking hard line in the midst of a Pandemic is truly heart breaking and shows what it would be like trying to work with them over teh next 3 years.

Do you guys think we still have the chance to get accepted? I feel like they will not release accepted decision, and release all the rejection together. I don’t know, I just feel like this waiting makes me desperate.
No, they’re still sending out acceptance letters. Plenty of folks get accepted on June 1st (last day of decisions), so we still have time. Don’t lose hope and I wish you all best in getting admitted!
