Hey y’all!! I just committed to BU today so I won’t be active on this thread anymore. The constant checking was really driving me insane and it would have been more expensive for me to go to NYU in the long run. I’m leaving my app in until June 1st in case I somehow receive a huge scholarship or something, but If I don’t hear back I’m gonna withdraw. If I hear back I’ll post my stats for the record and such but at this point I don’t really see myself going there because of how little it seems they care about their students with the COVID, financial aid, the decision process, and whatnot. I wish you all good luck in getting in and hope that everything works out for y’all, my parents always say everyone ends up at the perfect school for them eventually, so I hope that is true for all of you!
I really think it’s because you’re an international student. I’m an international student as well. I study at an American university in Louisiana. I applied to Tisch but haven’t heard from them till this day.
My checklist disappeard in April and my zoom-status changed from member to member-student in the last week of April. I lowkey think that they have already checked out our applications but are basically waiting for them to send out all the admissions decisions to American students before sending out admission decisions to International students. Thats the only logical reason I can think of.

@larosa2 I totally agree. I haven’t seen an international student who got admitted yet. This is so frustrating because I have to commit to UCSD by June 1st and I will be receiving my USC decision on May 31st.
There’s a possibility of withdrawing my NYU application by end of May, if I don’t receive a decision by then.
I’m an international student as well. Applied to CAS CS and still waiting.
I don’t think it’s due to the fact that we are international, since many other international students were accepted into NYU a week ago. Instead I guess it’s just because we are in bad luck.
