still nothing
Two questions – am I the only one whose member role on zoom shows as “Member – Alumni”?
The alumni designation makes me further believe that the zoom profile does not mean anything considering I am definitely not an alumnus of NYU (yet, fingers crossed!).
Also, does anyone else have a student ID number on their housing profile? (Albert > housing payments > my profile > personal profile).
This ID number for me at least is different from the Uni ID and NetID’s that are listed on the app portal and it has no letters in it, only 8 numbers.
Thanks!
Oh. That’s interesting.
No there are other students who have also said their zoom shows as “Member-Alumni”. So it’s definitely not just you!
I also have an ID number next to where it says “student account” on the housing profile. Different from the Uni ID and NetID.
I hope its a good sign! But I also wouldn’t overthink it.
Hi all,
Would be great if we stop asking about what certain things mean in your applicant profile. It makes other members like myself more anxious than we need to be. No need to over-analyzes minuet changes as it could mean absolutely nothing.
Best if we post updates such as stats, acceptances or rejections.
Keep it light!
Hey! Are there any rising juniors that have received acceptances yet?
rising junior nothing yet. applied to tisch.
stern rising junior. no decision
can someone please answer my question? i understand that this process is rolling admissions. does this mean that the people who didn’t receive a decision yet will get rejected ?
How do I check my zoom status?
@wannagoback Here you go: NYU Home —-> Work —-> NYU Zoom —-> Account Profile
Again, not sure what it means.
@freshman35 hey, honestly the process is very complex and at times random. It is illogical and very hard to follow. Acceptances came late into May and into June last year so just because you haven’t received a decision yet does not mean there will be a rejection. You got this and best of luck to you all!
Hi everyone, are there any Stern transfer applicants who haven’t received their decision yet??? It feels like I’ve been waiting so long for NYU. I’m accepted to USC Marshall and UT Austin McCombs. What do you guys think, should I go to USC or Austin?? Is it difficult to find jobs in Austin?
Mccombs is a stronger business school in my opinion.
apparently there was a webinar for accepted students today…so for all of us still waiting, are we screwed?
I hope not. NYU states that they host multiple webinars for incoming transfer students before the semester starts so I don’t think it’s indicative of whether or not the remaining applicants will all be rejected.
Could it be for first-year students only?
idk… i know of a transfer student who attended a webinar today
I just spoke to admissions again and they said they are trying to finalize all decisions by the end of this week. It’s on a rolling basis. They said it might expand into next week but hopefully we will get our decisions by Friday… so with that being said i don’t think it’s just going to be a wave of rejections. I think they are just sill reviewing all applications. Not every transfer applicant is on this thread so it’s hard to get a good eye on how many people already got accepted and rejected. I think we all have a very good chance on getting in so let’s all hope for the best. I know it’s hard not to worry but i think constantly checking our portals, zoom profiles, & this thread is making everyone anxious! Good luck to you all!!
It’s just so annoying. Especially for international students (like me) who are still stuck in the US due to “coronavirus” and need to renew their I-20 document (for my visa)
