NYU(NY) ED1 2018 Discussion

@idontlikewaiting I exaggerated a little, but you understood my point right? And at least with alumni you have to do some research on a specific alumni and relate it back to your life. It shows a clear interest rather than some fancy words about NYC. And yes I do agree its how you show something that your app doesn’t show.

I hope everyone here gets accepted. Honestly, I do! You all deserve it!:)

Let’s stop talking about supplements though xD Common app essay will probably be more important in the long run along with grades. Im just excited to see what happens tomorrow

I feel sick in so nervous

You say tomorrow I say today, well it feels like today anyway.

When I wake up ill have my decision :x

That’s if you can sleep!

Has everybody’s FA message changed by now?

Rohagen mine has but I know for sure a decent amount on this thread haven’t changed.

@rogahen nope mines still the same lol

I HAVE A 3.19 GPA AND A 1980 SAT AND MY FA HAS CHANGED

you all have better stats than me i really don’t think the FA change has anything to do with admission

Young what school did you apply to?

whether or not it matters if it changed, your stats aren’t all that are going to matter to them. everyone here has heard something was weighed more than something else, but none of us truly know. as well as the fact that they have their own quotas to reach with admissions.

I agree with Egan. Mainly b/c my act (28) sucks.

Take the FA change with a grain of salt I say, I’m just ready for whatever  So many of my friends getting into their great ED colleges, I want to say I’m with them!

my ACT is pretty good (32) but my supplements kind of screwed me. My original application was RD and to the BioChem/Biomolecular engineering but then I switched to Neural Sci and ED so the supplement about your major doesn’t make sense anymore
I hope they take into consideration the switch in major application
besides that I have a 94 UW GPA, 101.5 W, 9 aps, 4 cl, and all other honors.

Just praying for LSP.

For some happy news, my twin sister just got into her first choice (Emerson in Boston) and I’m so happy for her! I hope this good news thing continues

Ik this is really late( I was in school) but @jschok- you and I are in a reallllyy similar position. I also applied to CAS for journalism and got the LSP change. My math score (610) is also not great compared to my much higher reading and writing scores. Good luck and I’m curious to see what happens to both of us!

My math and reading act scores are so much better than my whole composite lol I had a 32 on reading and wound up with a 28
