@NYUMom2023 we found out in the application portal Albert, where it shows Accept/Decline Admission.
@NYUMom2023 - if she applied to Tisch and was accepted, it was to the major program she applied for. If she’s accepted to Tisch Drama she will find out about her studio assignment within a week via email.
@peacelove123 DO they mail out acceptance packages? Many of the schools to which we applied did not
@mapar2019, the description field was blank on the Accept/Decline page. Maybe it is because the program she is entering is brand new this fall, Collaborative Arts.
My son is doing his revisits at three schools to which he was fortunate enough to be accepted: Wesleyan University, NYU College of Arts and Sciences, and the George Washington University Elliott School of International Affairs. He is interested in astronomy, economics and international relations (not fully decided, and I suspect he will not be fully decided by May 1). He had originally leaned toward NYU because of the New York City campus and access to internships and international campuses, but was pleasantly surprised to be admitted to Wesleyan and is also intrigued by the small liberal arts college experience. Any reactions or advice would be welcome. I don’t think he can make a bad choice, but he really wants to make the best choice.
@KSB1734 , nice set of choices. I don’t know much about Wesleyan as my daughter wasn’t interested in LACs, but she liked GWU a lot as well. I’d say it kinda depends on if your son decides what he wants to focus on. For international relations, the Elliot school would probably be best, but if he remains with an eclectic mix of interests then NYU would probably work better (again, I don’t know enough about Wesleyan to comment here). He might also find that he has a clear favorite after visiting all 3 again.
My DD still hasn’t received acceptance package in mail for NYU…does anyone know when they usually send them?

I just spoke to a FA counselor today and asked if we’d be receiving a hard copy of the FA package in the mail and she said no - everything is done online through Albert.
@Britmom5 @thedancermom I don’t know if it’s different for ED, but the acceptance “package” wasn’t very exciting, a copy of the offer letter and a glossy purple flyer about NYU basically.
@SJ2727 My son ( International applicant from India) has got full ride scholarship for NYUAD ( his first choice). He received his acceptance and the grant at the same time. There is no separate package. The acceptance mail has link to relevant site in Albert where you can accept or decline the financial offer ( the link is there only if you have one). The formal mail and the glossy flyer is sent later, generally 3-4 days letter. Hope it helps
@bhopali by “separate package”, people are simply referring to what is sent hard copy. (Some colleges send much more info in hard copy than what NYU does. ) sounds like you got the same kind of “package” (that is, nothing substantive) that my daughter did.
@J2727. Oh! I get it.Thanks. But even University of Toronto, UBC, MC Master ( some other colleges he has recd offers from) have also just sent nice letters packaged well. Just out of curiosity, what are the other stuff that colleges generally send?
Well, the only other one my daughter got (from a college she thought she’d withdrawn, she got in ED so withdrew all other applications after her offer) had a brochure,about 10 or 12 pages, that not only detailed all her info including financial award, but actually had personalized the college brochure itself so that it had her name, major etc printed in on the various relevant pages. It was very nicely done. I believe USC sends a “big white box” to its admits.

@thedancermom , a couple of weeks I think. Things might be quicker in the ED1 round though as it’s fewer mailers to go out?
