@DaniJonS that is REALLY amazing! Congratulations! But you know it isn’t a “full ride,” right? It is full tuition. (Still have to pay for room and board, books, etc.) But nevertheless …awesome! So difficult to get…you must have really impressed admissions!

I got the same email last week. I even posted a question here but nobody responded so I thought it was not something the everyone got.
Anyway, since I am still interested in NYU I did not take any action.
The email about ED went to everyone.
My induction tab is also gone in the housing portal. Did everyone have the induction tab at one point?

Hi, I applied to NYU and i am really stressed out about decisions. I was wondering how important the why NYU essay is during admissions.
@applefreak665 They’ve mentioned before that it is a heavy weight in the decisions process.
I think I read somewhere that it’s one of the more important essays?(don’t quote me on this )In my opinion that’s the only essay that saved me. My others were kind of mediocre. And in my essay I talked about how I go to a STEM focused school and how frustrating that is as an artist who also wants to go into comp sci blah blah NYU offers the best of both worlds blah blah
I got rejected from UCLA yesterday (LOL. FAIL) so unless by some miracle I get into one of the Ivy’s I applied to(and am offered some sort of aid…) NYU is looking like the #1 for me ! 
i have a question! so I wrote my personal statement about my passion for teaching/coaching, and I wrote my supplement about their International relations HN program (which we start to apply to as a freshman at NYU). I listed my first choice school as Steinhardt in education studies, and 2nd choice as CAS for international relations. do my essays and 1st choice of school not add up?

What kind of role does interview play in the admission process??
@Vlau0707 Not much of one. There are very few interviews every year. If you get one in doesn’t necessarily mean you’re a better or worse applicant. Usually they will request an interview if they feel as though your application doesn’t have enough information to make a decision one way or another. If you had one they will consider it in your application profile but it won’t be a huge factor. GPA, test scores, essays, and extracurriculars are all significantly more important.
