on the portal it says April 1 @transmitter2342
Housing website -> Home -> On the left side of the page
There is your contact information, name, classification, etc
So there is a graph “e-mail”
Would you mind pasting the website link here? Thank you! @accept2017

@accept2017 I went on the link you attached and I don’t have that email…hmmm is it an indicator of admission? My housing classification says “nonrenewable undergraduate”…does everyone have that?
@TripleDentGum Same, don’t know if it means anything (probably, it doesn’t, as its non-renewable) + I believe “undergraduate” stands for the plan we applied for
@accept2017 in my case there’s only my personal email that I signed up with
@SternAspirations did you do a summer program at NYU? I think everyone who has done one has their personal email there.
@nyuhope17 nope, I haven’t!
If I go to the housing portal “home” after clicking on Washington DC as the application it has my personal email. It if I go to the “home” after clicking on New York it shows my netID@nyu.edu email. The housing portal changes a lot. I’ve been watching mine since December and it’s gone through a change every couple of days it seems
I’m honestly so confused by the housing website; I don’t understand how you changed it from Washington DC to New York? tbh I feel like I have a different housing portal hahah
You will see lots of changes on the housing portal. You can see email addresses. It really doesn’t mean anything. If you read past threads, this comes up every year and no one can make any sense of it. So, I wouldn’t get worked up about all the hype! Just relax, go hang out with some friends, do something fun. Don’t make yourself nuts waiting for a decision for the next two weeks!!
@Fishnlines29 100% true, but that’s much easier said than done, my friend
my 2017-2018 academic year is gone and now only summer 2017 is available, who still has academic year 2017-2018?
I do.
academic year 2017-2018 is still there for me too
You guys should just relax with the housing. Previous threads indicate there is not really one thing on there that indicates acceptance and all you are doing is stressing yourself out. We have less than two weeks left! Enjoy yourself!
Hi guys. Can anyone tell me my chances at NYU?
GPA: 94 numeric
ACT: 32 superscore; 30 composite
EC: Played freshmen football in 9th grade. Played varsity football in 10th and 11th grade. Clubs and volunteer services: National Spanish Honors Society, 1-2-1 Reach ( a club that involves high school students tutoring middle school students), Flood, HOSA, FBLA, Next Generation Focus ( a non-profit organization that helps remedial students), many church leadership roles and volunteer services ( I became a youth group shepherd in my junior year), volunteer service at a local library, volunteer service at Furkids Animal shelter, and hospital volunteer and experience.
APs: AP Physics 1 (junior year), Senior year: AP Statistics, AP Calc BC, AP Chemistry, AP Biology, AP Economics, AP Spanish Language and Culture.
I am undecided.
I applied to the college of arts and sciences.
I am the first generation in my family to go to college.
I received the Varsity Athletic Scholar Award in my sophomore and junior year.
I received honor roll every year in high school.
Now I am like hopeless. I apply for Stern as my first choice, and CAS as the second because I’m just also interested in international studies. But I never knew if people got rejected by Stern they won’t even be considered for CAS, as the two schools are so different.
(I really hope someone can come up if I’m wrong.)
Horrified. I feel so awful recognizing that I may be simply reject by NYU because of the low acceptance rate of Stern.
@philosphists123 I think you have a really good chance
In fact CAS sort of looks leaning toward a safety for you IMO
@allallj Acceptance rate doesn’t matter. Its based off of your credentials and if those are good enough you will get in. Besides where did you hear that if you get rejected by Stern you won’t make it into CAS?
