Essays: Solid

@camwow Your application looks pretty solid. However, I can’t really chance because colleges look at unweighted rather than weighted and I don’t know which school in NYU you applied to (CAS, Stern, etc).

@Rav115 i applied to just about every school lol, with Steinhardt as an education major being my first choice, then CAS intl relations, then LSP/SPS

also my school doesn’t do unweighted, but i think my UW is a 3.35/3.4

@camwow Oh alright then I think you have a decent chance of making it in  Your scores and esp EC’s are rly good

Chance me?

What is your uw GPA @ptal_666

did most people ask to be considered for LSP?

A lot of people put LSP as an alternate (not me though)

I put Tandon as my first and CAS as an alternate

I put CAS, no alternate

4.03

Since I applied to Tisch I put CAS, Steinhardt, and LSP and alternate choices. I’m just curious if NYU would still want me had I not applied to such a selective program. We’ll see if it’s good or bad soon enough

@ptal_666 its impossible to have an unweighted GPA above 4.0

@ptal_666 Ok you took hard courses and have a good GPA. However, your SAT scores are a bit low, and while you took AP courses, did you get 4’s and 5’s on most of them? If you did, then I think you have a decent chance of getting in. Otherwise, I’d have to say NYU is looking to be a bit of a reach.

I could only apply to a one main and one alternate major. How could some people apply to more than two???

i put steinhardt as first and cas as second!
