Does anyone have any info on or experience with the NYU SPARC robotics summer program. DD is a current 10th grader. I would like her to have some exposure to college living and engineering this summer. The SPARC program caught her interest. I am not finding a ton of information on the actual program itself and if it will be a good experience. We are limited to programs in June only due to a mandatory summer class, which eliminates a lot of great programs like WPI. Thanks very much!
No info. But for next year put Purdue STEP on your list if you don’t find a program for exposure this year. It’s only one week but packed with activity including robotics.
NYU doesn’t seem like the best example of “college living” Does she know what type of schools she is interested in?
She honestly has no clue. She attends the governor’s school in our urban city center and really enjoys the location. She is currently interested in engineering so thinking University of Pittsburgh or Northeastern could be nice options if she wants urban. The other program we are contemplating is the two week program at Boston University where she can take one session of Electrical Engineering and one session of Computer Science.
