Congrats everyone. I applied to CAS for ED1, so our decisions come out next Friday. But was having the NYU email (netid@nyu.edu) a sign of acceptance? Also were all of you able to access orgsync?
does anyone know how hard it is to get the much cheaper dorms at NYU? they honestly gave me absolute crap aid like horrendous but I reeeeaaaalllllllyyy wanna go. a lot of people that go to NYU are wealthy so I can’t imagine finding economy dorms or cheaper dorms would be that hard but does anyone know anything about this? trying to get one of the much cheaper dorms might be the only way I can (barely) afford it.

@GiannaC3 Hey, I was accepted today. As far as I know, everyone gets an NYU email and is able to access orgsync. From what I’ve gathered, the telltale sign of acceptance is the STUDENTS tab that appears AFTER logging into Albert. Good luck, see you next semester.

Ok, so I got accepted as a transfer student. If I’m correct, there is no due date for housing deposits if you’re a first transfer student. It although does not change. It’s still $1,000. I’m worried about the financial aid package!!! I live with a single mother with 4 kids who only makes $9,000 a year!!! do you guys think I should receive a good financial aid package?

Congrats to everyone who was admitted! I posted something already about this but not many people had heard back at that point, so I wanted to ask again: what’s everyone doing for housing? I’m nervous about it and just wanted to know if people were thinking they’d do university housing or live in an off campus apartment??

Congratulations to everyone that got in. Those that haven’t heard back yet keep your heads up. I got the notice of acceptance into CAS yesterday evening at 5 pm. For those that got in I have a few questions 1) will there be an orientation of sorts for transfer students? 2) On what site do we login to view classes etc? Is it on Albert? 3) Do you think taking 5 or 6 classes per semester is too difficult for the first semester at NYU? I ask this because the tuition is the same for 12-18 credits. So I figure why not take the 18 but at the same time I don’t want to be over burdened.
