Mine says SPS GFI
Yeah that could be⦠man I really hope thatās not the case though. Just kind of weird that we are able to pay for the deposit.
@loverose4565 You could pick SPS as a second choice school.
@loverose4565 and @throwawaynyu
Interesting⦠Rose got the āSPS Deposit Fee 2020ā too but didnāt apply to SPS. Only CAS and Tandon. Me and T.A. Got the same deposit fee and applied to SPS as backups⦠Lol ?
Lol idk what to believe anymore and I really hope they give it out on Monday
@GreatnessIsSaid what does yours say exactly, like word for word? Mine says āSPS GFI Depositā
T.A., Mine says āSPS GFI Depositā too btw
Rose, when you first do your application it asks if you donāt get accepted your first choice school would you like to be considered for any other school of NYU. So In the event I donāt get my first choice, I chose SPS as a backup with the intentions of doing an internal transfer later on and still be in NYU lol
In Albert ā Housing Payments ā Deposits: I also have the SPS GFI option, but I only applied to CAS.
In NYU Home ā Housing Forms: I see Fall 2019, J Term 2020, Spring 2020, Summer 2020. But heres the weird part:
The drop down under Spring 2020 reads āNYU Washington DCā (as does the drop down for Fall 2019). But for J Term and Summer 2020 the drop down reads āNYU New Yorkā.
Anyone else have this? I wonder what NYU Washington DC means.
If everybody is getting it, it probably doesnāt mean anything. Well looks like we will just have to wait for the letter.
@throwawaynyu I have an NYU email and those deposits too so it probably means nothing
@hilareolas where do you see your NYU email? I can now access NYU Classes (thereās a welcome page with a calendar, and on the sidebar, there are links to NYU Connect, Bookstore, etc). I wasnāt able to do that before. Anyone else?
Also, my college transcripts werenāt received until the 5th and I submitted my FAFSA a bit late. I know the former can affect when I receive my decision but Iām pretty sure they send letters regardless of financial aid status, right? I could be wrong
@kombuchalover69 Have they waived your standardized tests (Iām assuming you have enough credits)? If so, they already reviewed your application so Between that date and mid December you should expect a decision.
And yes theyāll can send you acceptance without the package together. Theyāll just notify you afterwards.
However, I believe there is a deadline for FAFSA for NYU on Nov. 15th. I think it only applies to CSS Profile (Iām sure it does for CSS but not so much for FAFSA) cause that is used for NYU scholarships. But you should contact NYU on Monday and ask to make sure.
@kombuchalover69 and I can access NYU classes for a while now. I think thatās a lot of ppl so it may not mean anything. But hey, I could be wrong
Anyone think we may get a decision this Monday? Iām thinking the next wave is either this Monday or 11/22 (this Friday). Was leaning towards 11/22 but realized in the past 4 years of spring transfer admission threads, there have been at least one Monday of decisions.
What yāall think?
And anyone got any new changes/updates?
Enjoy your week!
@GreatnessIsSaid Iām praying we do get on Monday!! Also nothing besides summer 2020 housing
Gonna try to remember to update this whenever I can!

*** A CAS transfer applicant reported receiving an email regarding an admissions interview on this day.
Hey guys! I think the reason my decision came out earlier is that I submitted both the College Report and Midterm Report (which are not required)! So if you feel you have had a good semester so far, definitely send out your midterm report to the admissions (it can be uploaded by yourself on the application portal)!
@xxxoscxxx With the exception of a month-long stint as a visiting student over the summer, Iāve been out of school since fall 2018. Sounds like really helpful info for other applicants nonetheless - thanks!
On that note ā did anyone else apply after a semester/year-long gap from school?
hey yāall! any updates for anyone?
