My comment you responded to was just me speculating about this week’s decisions being different than previous ones now that Waitlisted/deferred applicants are hearing back too. Of course we’re all in the same boat and trying to get though it with the little information we have. I am simply speculating based on the information we do have just like everyone else

Lol can we just stop. No one was spreading misinformation. Everyone said what they could access and couldn’t access that’s all. Like I didn’t go to each perosn and say oh you’re accepted or you’re not.
WE ARE JUST TRYING TO EASE OUR STRESS.

i mean for the most part we’re not saying these ARE indicators. we’re just speculating. unless it’s coming from NYU themselves, i assumed it was rule of thumb to take everything with a grain of salt.
We acknowledge the fact that these may or may not be real. If they are, great. If they aren’t, that’s sad. However, if someone chooses to takes possibly accurate indicators and runs with them, that’s not our fault.

Hang in there guys. I know you’re all stressed out. I really hope you all get decisions this week, preferably today.
A reminder, checklists disappearing or not disappearing made no difference in outcome of decisions. Believe me I scoured through old threads. There were kids that never had them disappear and were accepted. The only real “early” indicator of acceptance is FA/COA/transfer credits appearing BUT also kids had those update pretty much right at the moment their decision came out too. So don’t freak out if you don’t have it yet.
Don’t read into anything else. whoever said to go outside and touch grass is spot on!!!
