Yesterday I received an email saying my application is in the final stage and they asked me if I am interested in Tandon if they cannot offer me admission to cas. There’s a form with majors in Tandon in it and I need to pick some if I think Tandon is ok. However I’m really desperate to go to cas. Does that email mean I’ll be rejected by cas? Has anyone also received it? I don’t know what to do now.

I mean its good cus they want u to be a part of the nyu community i think its nice that they wanna offer u a spot somewhere else rather than just rejecting u maybe it got full but i think it is waaay better than just getting rejected yk but good luck to u!! And do whatever makes u happy. I think u should do more research and see if it works for u cus maybe u refused and then got rejected so its better to have other options as well yk

Just checked to see if anything disappeared from my portal or showed up on Albert, but everything is the same since my checklist disappeared 3 weeks ago. I might actually lose my mind if I don’t hear back this week.

How this waiting is driving us crazyyy. Is that a thing like are we allowed to send them a word doc or anything
normally its reserved for people who have gotten their decision back and were waitlisted
its fairly common for other privates (esp those who are t10 as far as i know)
i’m thinking of doing it because i feel that i’m at a disadvantage with no finals grades to submit since i’m on quarter system so i won’t be done until late june but idk aahhhh

Yes I would say it’s allowed, and it couldn’t hurt just as long as you’re relatively formal in what and in the way you write and are gracious. Also, as long as you know what you’re trying to say haha. Make sure if you submit an unofficial statement on your part that it’s a statement that is meant to support your app and not just be something casual that could be written in an email, if that makes sense. Most application portals allow for applicants to upload necessary documents as well as anything they would like to update the school on. Some students may use it as a way to explain details about their application that they couldn’t elsewhere. @noturgirl404 tagging you in this too bc I know you’re contemplating it! I’ll also be uploading something. Hope this may have helped in some way

It just aired during tonight’s episode. I saw the NYU logo and basically just screamed. NYU is now haunting my dreams and my tv shows.
