I wonder if they offer financial aid/scholarships more to new york residents vs out of state. I am from NYC and I was just wondering that. But I doubt it since it’s a private college.
they may for some programs but thats only because they have partnerships with NY Community Colleges

Im from the west coast so it was around 11 for me my time:)
Thank you! I am external:)))
Good job Shawn!!! Excited to meet you HAHA
Congrats guys! I apply external CAS ECN major but heard nothing today. I think it’s a good sign though that NYU release some offers. Do you guys think NYU release offers based on the majors?
I think they do it by colleges, but I might be wrong
They usually do, but they seem to be quite spread out this time
I just want to take a second to say I appreciate this thread so much LOL it’s so active. I’m in the Columbia GS fall admissions thread and hardly anyone posts, everyone’s a lurker. Congrats to everyone who’s got in good luck to everyone! Steinhart here waiting applied first week of February
I think it releases offers based on the majors. I major in mathematics. My friend major in international relation. She was accepted today. But I don’t receive any information. Many people who major in bio/econ are still waiting for the decision.
i applied for international relations and haven’t heard anything sooo yeah lol.idk what to think
Hi everyone,
This is my first time posting on here but I thought it might be helpful to state that i got accepted to CAS as an external transfer from a California CC today! I was really surprised to get an answer this early, since I was told not to expect anything until at least May. I submitted my app at the end of Jan. It’s all a ton to consider with only a week to decide lol so I’m still pretty stressed but wishing the absolute best to everyone else!
congrats!!! -fellow california cc student (:
did anything in ur portal change and if so when
so if my checklist has been missing for like a week should I expect a decision soon?
It’s hard to say for sure, but I think it’s likely that you’ll get a decision within the next two weeks? Just a guess though
I really hope we do. But I think checklist dissapearing only means that our applications are being reviewed. I don’t think they are indicative of decisions being released in a certain time period. However, its nice bc at least we know our applications have started to been reviewed
Hi everyone I’m an external transfer from a community college in NY. I have read through the thread and my checklist is still up. I submitted my application on March 9th. I was also accepted to Rutgers University and I’m going to accept the offer to hold a spot just incase. Im a bit disappointed in NYU for taking so long since most colleges have made the deadline for May1st to decide.
Currently studying at Rutgers! Congratulations on your acceptance !!
Same here! I’m in the same situation. I’m also graduating from a CC in NY and submitted everything around the same time you did. I got into Adelphi, but I think I can only make a deposit if I’m committing.
