NYU waitlist 2024 (class 2028)

Yeah I have it too, I’ll just give a quick history on indicators to answer a few questions:
For Waitlist, indicators don’t work like other rounds. Sometimes they work but many people from last year’s thread had 0 indicators until the checklist disappeared. The checklist disappears because NYU has uploaded your decision to your portal which, in this case, means you got off the waitlist because you won’t get a “rejection” letter for waitlist. There is some talk of housing indicators (if you go onto NYU Home, Housing forms, you can see what you can apply to) people interpret having no application or academic year 2024-2045 as a good sign (obviously), however, again many people last year did not get this indicator because of the fact they have already received a decision. Overall, the only thing we can do is wait. Sadly, there are no numbers to go off for the waitlist as NYU doesn’t release numbers so we can’t predict “how many” will get off the waitlist.

Quick question, when did the checklist disappear last year according to the thread? Any clue?

From what I remember from my own decision (EDI) and last year’s thread, the checklist disappears the day before or on the day of, usually not right before 4PM. I can’t remember exactly when mine cleared out all I know is that it happens a good time before the normal 4PM EST release time

I was going through last year’s thread and saw a class of 26 admit from WL explaining how the checklist disappeared 15 min before the decision and some even stated it took more than 10 hours after acceptance to update.

Is it possible to submit another waitlist form now? will it still be considered?

worth a shot! you never know

right nothing lost in submitting another

well, as long as it’s substantial! I submitted 4 in total (one per month) and I outlined something significant each time. They won’t be annoyed but just make sure you’re not saying the same thing over and over again.

Do you just click on “Submit New” under “forms” in the portal, and it doesn’t erase the last one?

no it doesn’t erase the previous submissions and once you are done submitting, you can see both of them in your checklist

Ok, thanks.

What if my expected scorecard says 96% but my actual scorecard says 80-90%, will it pose an issue for me given that my final mark sheet will be uploaded in mid may or maybe even July?

How did you submit one per month if it has only been a little over a month since decisions came out?

Also, I’ll be appearing for improvement exams and possibly bringing my final score to 90-95 but that would only happen late into June or mid-July so not sure if I’ll be able to upload my final mark sheet with the improvement scores

They were deferred from ED then waitlisted so they have been uploading since January

does anyone know if they look at only the most recent waitlist form or all?

hahaha actually I was waitlisted in early decision lol/sadly

They look at all the letters
