I applied FA, in case I am admitted, can the the university just refuse to give me FA and ask me to attend full pay or are they forced to give me FA if they take me in?

kind of an update not really, but apparently they’ve already been taking people off waitlist?? i doubt it tho their decision day was just yesterday?

I watched the video…idk really think anyone has been taken off the waitlist bc only yesterday night did people have to pay a deposit sooo…plus none of the 50+ people who have reported here have said anything…
looked on tiktok and somebody got off the waitlist on the 29th. only one person tho but they didn’t accept it cus of aid
I mean I would agree but I wouldn’t be surprised. However, the email that was sent last week said they didn’t anticipate any decisions before the deadline but who knows
I also checked the comments on this TikTok and the guy claims he saw people posting about getting off the nyu waitlist right here on CC so idk he could be lying a bit…
Yeah maybe it was a one off thing for something really specific (nursing, SPS, etc)

Nope bc the school i got into has a may 15th deadline so I’m basically going to wait for NYU until maybe the 14th and then commit to my other school and continue to wait for nyu and another school I’m waitlisted at.
