Hi y’all, I just found this thread! I was waitlisted at Tandon for the Applied Mathematics and Physics program but kinda changed my program to Electrical Engineering on the waitlist form. I applied RD, financial aid included, and I’m a low income international student, so it’s quite breezy for me. I’m still praying to get in though.

After getting this recent email I’ve decided to take myself off the waitlist(don’t know if that’ll change anything but…) I’ll be going to UChicago this fall and hope that through June and July, more of you guys will get taken off! As I’ve been (lowkey 
) stalking this thread I just want to say that you guys are all passionate and driven for academia which I think will truly take y’all far. College admission season is literally so draining, confusing, and even disappointing. But I truly believe that the peoples in this thread will to keep on checking and trying to show NYU they belong will get them far! I wish y’all luck on your journeys, transferring is always a thing(even something I’ve been considering if I don’t like my school). But wherever we go I think we’re gonna do amazing things!

But like on another note, NYU is high key really evil for not being transparent about their admissions…especially because it’s been shown those who are in need of financial aid are overlooked

yep i needed full aid and honestly i do think its one of the biggest reasons i didnt get off of the waitlist. they dont wanna spend money thats for sure

I truly don’t understand why NYU has to be like this…tbh my family makes just a little over what qualifies for the nyu promise so while I said in my form I would be full pay, I really do need the fa and it’s disheartening that my application during the wl process was overlooked due to something out of my control…

I wish i got rejected instead. Waitlist was not enjoyable at all. Been waiting since ED results. And i wasted so much time looking for stats and trying to get an idea of what everything is like. Could’ve definetely spent all that time studying or at least having fun.

i’ll be going to the netherlands, university of rotterdam!! but if by any chance a space becomes available and they decide to admit more from the wl, nyu is always gonna be my top choice
