I also read into last year’s thread and I think indicators do happen but I think it’s spotty. A lot of people on the thread had 0 signs until they got off the list unlike ED rounds. The best indicator of if you’re getting in is on the day that a “wave” might happen, your application page will go blank because that’s what happens when a decision is uploaded to your portal. In this case if you got a decision that means you got in because if you don’t get off the waitlist, nothing will show up on your portal. You’ll only get an email.
ooh! i didn’t know that. so is that email the one that says like “all of our spots are filled so we won’t be admitting anyone else” ?
I also did a nyu summer program so that’s why I probably have it.

I am struggling to make a decision, if I should consider other schools for NYU because I really like Steinhardt (my primary choice is Steinhardt Music Performance) but I don’t know if they are picky with picking people off the waitlists. Do you guys think i should add other schools to my form just to be safe?
i think you should. i originally applied for CAS but said that i would also go to Steinhardt if they offered.

Hey guys I was waitlisted for international relations/ global affairs(CAS) too and I applied RD. Does anyone know if theres a better chance to get off the waitlist if you change to LSC?
NYU doesnt release any WL data unfortunately. So it is really impossible to say if adding a school…helps or hurts. Personally, I only put the schools I was really interested.
That’s interesting, I originally put lots of different options for the WL but more recently just made it my main major (Stern) but have been going back and forth on adding more majors across different schools at nyu. Good to hear the opinion of sticking to your major.
Wait I just wanted to ask everyone on this thread how many letters they wrote to NYU, I want to see the average amount. I got waitlisted EDI so I’ve written three letters, I’m considering writing one more as I have some more stuff to talk about and I want to “remind” them of my deposit commitment. Lmk 
I was ED2 and also did three forms. The first one was right after getting wl to confirm my spot (mentioned some updates) then the next two were to go into deeper details about my updates plus give my comment to attend if i would be accepted. Since I was wl in feb with ed2, I’ve basically done a form each month.

i’ve been waitlisted since ED2 and i’ve also updated the form 3 times with some new achievements and leadership stuff i’ve done.

does anyone know if the enrollment deposit fee got extended like almost every other school did bc of fafsa and if that’ll effect the waitlist decisions?
