Thank you! I didn’t read far enough up on thread. It is very intimidating since we didn’t think he had any chance of coming of the waitlist. We only have 3 days to make a decision. Not sure what to do.

I wouldnt say spring admit is common… it is only common for WL admits. We had 8 ppl accepted off WL to LSC from this thread yesterday and 4 of them had spring starts (1 was declining the WL acceptance as didn’t want to start in spring). All 8 LSC admits were originally WL for CAS.
If NYU is his TOP TOP choice, then I think it is great that he got in, even if it is not a perfect start date. If there are better options for your son, or he was on the fence re: NYU anyway, then I can see how a spring start is a bit of a curve ball.
We are keeping track of ppls acceptances. Do you mind answering these questions as well?

- International or US student
- Full Pay or FA?

Confirming one student off the waitlist for design yesterday, has to accept by this Friday May 10
i think school is a really important factor, cos our school apparently is hated by nyu, cos last to last year they took 12 kids from our school but since then they have stopped taking any student, some people say its a personal grudge with our school owner.

I would say Friday for the school that took people off yesterday but school who haven’t could be anytime this week.

If deadine for them is Friday 11:59pm then it’ll have to be after that. Waves are usually Friday from previous years so that’s where my guess comes from
100% but yesterday they only sent out notices for curtain schools so other schools could still put out there first waves some time this week and start there 4 day clock.
We are probably full pay with little to no financial aid. So big decisions in the next few days.
