in the mean time, if you dont mind me asking, how are so many people on this thread full pay? i am an intl trying to fund my education and just curious how does it work. does your family support you, is it out-of-pocket or else?
were the people who got off full pay from the beginning? or applied for aid and got none
I just got off and was full pay.
DD got in off the waitlist for Tandon (Mech, full-pay) with Spring 26 offer, we were an RD applicant. Most likely will be declining to give others a chance as she has already committed to a T10 engineering college.

if you donāt mind answering, what time did you receive the email notification?
After I got waitlisted, I reapplied as full pay. The plan is to take out finical loans from a bank in the US.
do you guys think its too late to change to full pay? i really want to get off no matter what and even if i did i dont think i would get financial aid anyway
I donāt think itās too late, but you should call soon to ask if you are able to change to full pay. I know they said in the email not to change anything on the form, so they may be able to change it over the phone. Admissions people are usually super nice so donāt be afraid to call.
any chance i could just email? i live on the west coast so iāll always be in school during their office hours
I got my email notification at 4:22 pm EST
ok. hey guys! i understand wanting to get into nyu no matter what. but please, if you need aid, DO NOT apply as full pay! even if you think you wonāt get aid. nyu is $100k a year and nyc is expensive. that is at least $400k and you are not guaranteed a job that can pay that all back. you do not want to be saddled with that kind of debt for the rest of your life.
yes Iām sure you can try that as well. Good luck!!
any predictions when stern will release based on previous years?
Lots of savings. My parents were the one that insisted I go to university in the US and they have been equipped to pay for it since i started high school.
Only way i remotely see this making sense is if you are graduating with a degree that has potential for a high paying job (think Investment Banking or CS/Engineering degree). The ROI wouldnāt make sense otherwise and it will take you a LONG time to pay back that loan.
Just my opinion but taking out loans for nyu if you dont have the financial means and dont have financial aid is a highly questionable decision.
