I got an interest letter from CAS but didn’t receive acceptance letter after. I suppose maybe I am the unlucky one.

@hodgpodge @AhMesAmis Sorry I was not clear enough about my situation. I did replied late but the admission person wrote me back saying it was not late and I would still be considered. However, I still was not accepted. Sorry for the confusion.
@holdingouthope Lol, what do you mean she has done her research? I disagree because I was one of the many to receive interest emails in the first wave yet has not received an offer. A lot of kids did not get offers actually. Just because it seems like many kids on CC ended up getting offers does not mean the entire pool of those who got interest letters got offers.
tl;dr: There is no “research.” CC is a skewed population. We should all just be patient. Everything happens for a reason and we’ll all be fine!
@Iniesta15 If I may ask, where exactly did you get the impression/statement that many kids did not end up getting official offers? Because I founded my conclusion on the basis that many kids that I personally know, who do not use CC at all, all ended up getting an offer after the interest email.
The only two person that I’ve seen so far who did not receive admission are both on CC.

@AhMesAmis Ok this is my last opinion on this. I think a majority got offers, sure. But not most/all (as you said). As for your “conclusion on the basis that many kids that i personally know,” I find it hard to believe you know THAT many kids in the pool of 900 or so who got offered. And lastly, there were more than 2 on CC

@ahmesamis no worries! just want to say that I am an interested party in all this activity and your positive mental attitude is really wonderful. My son did get an interest email and is waiting for the admission (which will probably come but we understand its got to be in writing) and thanks to your great comments our nights have been a lot easier. You’ve done a great job moderating this blog - and I hope you get in. Indeed, I wish I had young engineers working for me with your PMA. No matter what happens, I can see you will succeed in life. You are providing peace of mind in the midst of your own struggle. Wish I could will you into NYU. You are truly exemplary and I wish you all the best. I know you will do well.

@rk1999 It’s okay, I got that email too. If you ever attempted the housing change trick, then you must’ve started a housing application. And since none of us is really applying for summer housing, the email just serves as a notification that the housing application you accidently started has expired now.
