<p>Having found myself living alone after 25 years of bad marriage and then Son’s departure to college, I am rediscovering things that I loved long ago and trying new ones. The bulk of my time right now is spent re-planting gardens in the beds that died as my house wended its way through foreclosure before coming to me. The tentative blooms on my not-yet-mature plants, especially the roses, fill me with joy and satisfy my need to nurture. Swimming in the pool and walking the dogs reveal that even at my “advanced age,” my body can still serve me. And, oh yes, I love to sew–quilts, stuffed animals, and colorful clothing that satisfies my boho style.</p>
