***Oct 2014 SAT (US ONLY)***

HAHAHA LET’S FIND EVERY WAY TO SAY A RIGHT ANSWER AND PUT THEM AS THE RIGHT ANSWERS AM I RIGHT COLLEGE BOARD? but yeah @jackytang23 let’s pls contact them, some other people agree with us as well.

so many faults godamn

@lifeishard Yes :slight_smile:

@lifeishard Pretty sure!

Guys, it is not hard to understand Less than OR equal to. It does not HAVE to be equal to 96. The fact that it is at most 95.5 fufills the OR condition. NONE of the other choices work. None. E is the only possible answer, it is not a poorly worded question, just a difficult one.

@sodone‌
Wait why do u feel tho?
I know college board loves those types b/c they love u takin the whole passage into context when they really mean what the guy is thinking at that point at that line about the subject.

@jackytang23 #satgametoostrong but i don’t know if i want to use my real email, should we create a separate email just to ask the question?

@friedbutters the question asks which one MUST be true… Since it CANNOT be equal to 96, then it is not COMPLETELY true

@lifeishard wait what I don’t even know anymore hahaha. I put down inherently useful but it’s probably obvious… yeah it’s really tricky sometimes

i put inherently useful and i think that’s right tbh no one else talked about that answer but it’s basically saying that at the end free riding becomes useful for both sides

Dude… It is either true or it is false, there is no inbetween. 95.5 is true, the statement <=96 IS ALWAYS TRUE. find me a way that it is not true and I will concede my argument.

A clarification, the less than or equal to operand DOES NOT contain the word “and”. the “and” portion does NOT have to be satisifed for the condition to return a true value.

I thought it was obvious, there was another phrase in the passage that solidified my reasoning

@scarlettlovesivy well the article says that they hardly ever check anything electronic. Maybe we should mail them?? They need to be specific. I found a faulty math question before too (practice test) it said the third side of the triangle must be less than or equal to 13 or something but it CANNOT be EQUAL to 13 because that would not be a triangle. the other sides were 6 and 7 if i remembered correctly. Anyways i think that the problem with faulty answers is that no one ever does anything about it. I really want to do something about it. It pisses me off because 10-20 points could mean a lot.

okay look at it this way: if the statement <= 96 is ALWAYS true then the OR equal to part must also ALWAYS be true, which it is nott

@jackytang23 I’m SO with you on that it could be my difference between a 2200, do you want to mail them?

Actually it looks like they discussed it earlier in the forum.

They said that the rationale was that there is an extremely negative connonation with “free rider”
and the fact this “is obvious” because the meaning is like a “leech”

“Measured” makes that choice wrong. He is in no way restrained and carefully deliberate in his actions. Theres no evidence from the passage that corroborates that.

college board should have just put <96

Post what you want to write and i will email it for you using my account

i put the measured one and a lot of people agree
