@DAIMYO you’re taking it again in nov? What is your goal?

@wpsl5683 what are you aiming for? I might. Do you think I should since I can definitely do better than my 4 wrong on math?

@icepierre No this was my last time taking it, i took it to improve math and get my superscore 23+ (which based on the google doc, i succeeded in doing) but it wouldve been nice to improve in cr too lol

i got b, the one that said something about variety in exercise being good for normal people but athletes need to be aware or something.

Was the 24-question CR with the Iranian girl passage the experimental CR, or was the 24-question CR with the gymnast passage the experimental CR? Thanks.

Neither

Are you sure? My 3rd and 4th CR were 23 and 20 questions. Those 43 plus one of the first two (which were both 24) would be the 67 total questions.

@uclabound1 yeah I had that CR section too. Probably an experimental? It was a 20 question 20 minute section so that definitely doesn’t normally happen

Yea im sure I had a CR experimental

Did you also have a 24-question CR with the Iranian girl passage and a 24-question CR with a gymnast passage? Thanks.

none of my friends had the CR section with physicists playing 20 questions, so that was definitely my experimental section. Sadly, the Iranian woman, gymnast, and writers block sections were NOT experimental.

What uclabound1 said

I got -10 on CR last time in January --> 660 :-/ What do you guys think -10 could be for this test?

@uclabound1 wait what was your raw score in Jan?

62/67 cr in may was 760… rly hoping that happens again

@ scarlettlovesivy
660 CR
690 math (really screwed up grid-ins)
700 writing
Composite: 2050

hey, so I would like ur guys’ opinions on the arbitrary cr one, People said arbitrary is right because it means random. But the guy chose the first dealership in the yellow pages. Isn’t choosing the first thing deliberate and not random? Its like if you asked someone to pick a random card. theyre not gonna pick the first card. But when you ask them to pick any card and it isn’t serious, then theyre gonna pick the first card. Frivolous means not serious, so i still feel the answer is frivolous not arbitrary. Right?

@lbje2019 Yes you are right. I also had 23 questions for the athletes and smell passage. And I had 20 questions for the writer’s block. I am pretty sure about it now.

Any questbridge NCM applicants out there?

Can anybody explain their reasoning for the passage about smell where the guy was talking about how people use flavor and taste interchangeably? It was either to criticize the pervasiveness of an error in diction or to point out the prevalence of mistaken thinking. People seem to pick the latter, but why is it not the former?
I saw the diction error as him saying that people are misusing the word flavor when they really mean taste, because flavor is a combination of both taste and smell.
