I was seriously considering mark but then I put sensation. Knowing me, this question will be the one that brings me from 800 to 780 :’(

lol it’s sensation for sure though…

honestly all the questions i think i got wrong in Cr are being debated, by experience can anyone say that the majority is ALWAYS right on CC?

No lol. I remember on the May SAT for writing the majority were against me on one of the grammar questions, like they were convinced they were right and barely anyone agreed with me, and i ended up getting -0 writing so u have to take everything u see on here with a grain of salt

It’s sensation. look up mark and sensation on google and read their definitions. in that passage the only choice that made sense was sensation. CR wasn’t that bad this test. It’s been much worse. Math sucked(I have complained forever about math so I just need to shut up) and writing was ok. after today 8 more days. Hooray!

Nope. There was this one passage in june about a guy moving to new york from africa and most people disagreed with my answers, but I think I answered all the questions from that passage correctly. People are saying CR was harder in june though, so maybe if this CR was easier more people will be in agreement?

Mark made sense at the time because i didnt realize that a mark had to be a visible impression, but yea its sensation now that i looked up their definitions. Impression and sensation didnt seem like synonyms at the time especially since the definition of mark is to leave an impression which is what confused me

And personally I thought june’s CR was easier. But that’s probably just because I want a better curve for this one lol

@daimyo Yeah, I guess it is sensation. I’m not very good at those questions.

thanks guys
i’ll ask one final time did you put confident and measured? and inherently useful?

and nah these questions were SO subjective

Id bet $100 it was frequently obvious, and no that was one of the CR i got wrong… i put the obsequious and flattering one but i can see now how he wasnt really being obsequious (that question was really bad tho)

so what is it the genial one?

@scarlettlovesivy which question was the mark and sensation answer? Do you remember which passage? Its so weird, i usually have outstanding memory, but i cant seem to remember any of these questions lol

I’ve literally read that Sonny passage 30 times and I do think it’s genial now. I think confident and measured was there as a trap. Definitely a weird question though…

Actually, a lot of traps in that question. He DID seem boisterous, confident, and flattering. The issue was with the second word

@Mystic7 what do you mean youve read it 30 times. How can you read it?

Confident is awful. how is he confident? he is being friendly while trying to show the family the car. Only reason why I picked genial was because the other choices made no sense. heck I don’t know what genial meant! I still don’t! lol I should look it up. I don’t remember ANYTHING about the double short passage and my answer choices so that’s my wildcard. I think the gymnast question about what the author thinks is debatable. I said she competed harder than any of her competitors.

Okay, here’s the passage if you guys want to read it:

In the parking lot, crisscrossed strings of red, white, and blue triangles flapped under a cloudless sky. A long-haired man named Sonny led us along the rows of gleaming cars, their silver cursive “Malibu” logos giving them a wild, exotic aura. Sonny stopped to stroke a metallic red hood. “Seats five,” he said, and looked at us appreciatively, as if to congratulate us on being a family of exactly five. "Come on, Kids, he said. “Get in and show your mom and dad how much space you’ve got.”

Normally, Baba being called “dad” would have made us laugh–it sounded so American. But that day in the car lot we didn’t even look at each other. We were all watching Sonny. He pulled at the handle of the back door, it gave with a rich, oily click, and my brother and sister and I obediently climbed in.
“Well? How does it feel?” Sonny’s red face filled the window; his voice boomed, bossy and cheerful, through the glass. Beyond him stood Mama and Baba–and at that moment they looked pale, almost translucent, as if the bright light glinting off the tops of the cars had reached something out of them. They seemed small and far away. So, as the plastic new-car smell wafted seductively around us, we smiled and waved and stretched out our legs in all the space we had.

reading this it looks like they followed his instructions happily rather than being amazed by the roominess. looks like I got that wrong.
1 vocab 1 from this passage 1 from the smell passage 2 from the gymnast passage and 1 from the poem passage at least.total of at least 6 wrong. hopefully no more than 10. and 6 skipped for sure. looking anywhere from a 600-660 in CR

he is measured because the whole seats five thing and he is obviously confident in the way he goes about things where is the whole ingratiating thing coming from? i strongly believe its confident and measured now after reading it again

It sounds like a working definition, because as @scarlettlovesivy put it has hyphens, and it described or defined how long the poem was, so a working definition could make sense. I am not a 100% sure, but SOME others put that same answer. I don’t think I changed that answer also. B-)
