" I think it would be good for the babies if they were adopted by several loving families who could give them the love and care they need. "

I agree 100%. It would most likely be a time consuming process , but it is the best thing for the babies and that is what is most important. Since the state of California will ultimately be stuck footing the medical bills, they should have the decision in how to proceed.
I am not for punishing Nadya , but rather making a sound decision on the care of these babies that never should’ve been brought into this world in this way.
I also think that they should be going after the doctor who implanted the embryos and change the regualtions that allowed this to happen in the first place.

Than Nadya better find a very good attorney because I rremember Gloria Allred said if she didn’t accept the offer she would feel obligated to pursue this in other legal avenues.

Gloria Allred is one amazing attorney…here is just a tidbit of her personal life, which explains why she is feeling the way she does

BTW her daughter is Lisa Bloom a court reporter.

I read online (I think Drudge) that Allred is giving her to midnight tonight. Allred has defended Amber Frey, Paula Jones and other famous cases, including sueing the Boy Scouts to allow an 11 yr old girl to join…I think she has proven herself that she likes the good fight.

jym, yikes, I got the grandma’s age wrong. I thought she was about 63 and didn’t realize she is 69. That helps explain it some but she just looked on the old side but I guess that would be expected for age 69. I thought she was younger. But then again, this situation has to have aged her. And that is on the old side to deal with all those kids on a daily basis. My parents and my in-laws adore the grandchildren and would take them on for a week at a time but that was TWO and just for a week. I don’t think they could handle this many in their home daily. Nor should they have had to. Being a grandparent should be a joyous time to visit to spend occasional spurts of time with, but not to be the care takers 24/7, particularly for such a quantity of kids. This grandma, as wonderful as she has been, has stated she wants time for herself to do the things she has wanted to do later in life. She can’t turn her back on the grandkids but Nadya has taken advantage of her mom even before the 8 babies came along.

When someone is Nadya’s age, even without any children, they should be living independently of their parents and supporting themselves. This is even more necessary if they should have kids of their own. Having kids is only responsible if you can support them.

I wonder if grandma believes that Allred is going to sue for the state to take custody…or at least her Angel organization, and that is why she is talking about adoption.

It again shows the lack of Nadya to make a positive decision in the best interests of her children…I am sure that Allred has some caveats in the donation, but let’s see…House and nursing care 24/7…or stay in the 3bdrm that is about to be foreclosed with no true assistance. I am positive that Dr. Phil asked her about the support system she has in place and it probably failed his test, but he didn’t want to illlustrate it.

According to the morning news, they thought Nadya might be trying to field some competing offers for a book deal (with $$ advance) or a reality tv show deal. I for one would LOVE for there to be cameras in her home 24/7 watching how she cares for the 14 kids, and I’d imagine Family and Childrens services would probably love that as well, if they consented to let her have the kids on a trial basis…

I am not clear on what exactly Allred is planning on doing. Taking care of those children throug Angels but where, what are her conditions? Will someone enlighten me?
From what I understand about Health Care in this country, no discharge planner/social worker will ever discharge those kids to the current home and current family conditions.

I believe that Nadya WILL be able to obtain money through some sort of deal for her story. But I don’t think money itself is the only issue. She would need a plan in place for the CARE of the kids. No matter how much money one has, a single person cannot care for all these kids, including 8 preemies.

I don’t know that much about Allred’s offer through Angels but I read PREVIOUSLY that Angels would have to receive donations after a short while to keep this offer going. I think that some would contribute to these children if it were not money going directly to Nadya but through an agency overseeing the care of the kids. I’m not sure why Nadya hasn’t accepted the offer but she also is in la la land about how she will handle the kids (ie., “love” isn’t enough). She also may be holding out for a money deal, but again, without a concrete plan in place, the money alone is not gonna do it for her.

OK, I did some investigating…
Angels have made an offer to Nadya more than a week ago, only yesterday has it become public.
They are proposing to put the entire family, 14 kids plus Nadya, on one piece of a property (?) and take care of them 24/7. The catch is that they will be asking for public donations and those donations will go to Angels, but for the care of Suleman kids. This seems to be the only catch. They do not care about shows, books, pictures etc. Nadya can stiil take money from these, if she is able to secure them.
Allred is only representing the Angels, it is not her organization.

And I believe that Soozievt is right, people will start donating if money won’t go directly through Nadya.
Home is probably also easy to find in a foreclosure stricken CA.

Has anyone ever asked Nadya what she is doing to help her autistic son? I believe that he is one of the older ones, at least 4, so she should have provided him with some sort of treatment since his diagnosis.

I wondered what they meant by the bolded line (My emphasis). On the surface it seems to mean that they would all live together happily ever after, but I wonder if there is some implication that she might be giving up control of more than just the allocation of the funds. Anyone know?
I also wondered where the older kids go to school. They must be getting hounded by the media if they are in a public school.

I would believe that financial decisions will include her, but I bet she can be overriden by the foundation…i.e. I want to buy 14 bikes…well maybe they will turn and say you can buy 8 b/c 6 of the kids are unable to ride a bike…or I need to buy sneakers and she wants to buy them $100 pr of Nikes or they oversee the food bill…not spenidng 100s on non-nutritional microwave meals, but instead making sure that there are healthier items like fruit and veggies.

AS far as the autistic son, I am not only worried about him, but the other 2 that are now on state aid. I am sorry, but no mother that has known for 3yrs that their child was autistic while living with her mother could rationally decide to have 6 embryos implanted. The upheaval that this child must be enduring is painful to even ponder.

I think that her still asking Mom to babysit when all she needs to do is turn on the tv or net to hear how her mother feels shows her true selfish and inconsiderate feelings.

The woman is as emotionally responsible as a 10 yr old. SHe truly doesn’t get it…she doesn’t get that people have disdain for her due to the fact that she doesn’t put her kids first.

OLD CLICHE…MOTHER BEARS ARE NOT SOMETHING YOU WANT TO GO UP AGAINST…MOMS ACROSS THE WORLD HAVE HAD THEIR MATERNAL INSTINCTS PUT INTO OVERDRIVE AND THEY ALL ARE BECOMING A MOTHER OVER THESE CUBS
