Octuplets' mom already has 6 young kids at home.

^^ Haha. I counted 15 kids in that picture!

^Uh oh…that means one more in vitro to come?

Fifteen Kaiser Permanente employees were fired for peeking at Nadya Suleman’s medical records.

[Hospital staff fired for peeks at Nadya Suleman’s files | The Dish Rag | Los Angeles Times](<a href=“Archive blogs”>Archive blogs)

Yeah, I’ll bet they accessed her info on KP’s computer system and it tracked their login ID’s. Good for KP.

Nadya’s new “people” seem to have gotten her to keep a low profile. It is about time. Hope that means she is spending more time at home with the children.

Why were these staffers fired? I believe in patient privacy, but why were patient records available to people who shouldn’t see them? And if the staffers were permitted to see these records, why were they fired?

The way to keep patient confidentiality is to prevent unauthorized people from looking at files, not by firing them after they do. Did these people know what they were doing was a firing offense?

Taking a big lead here but if they were permitted to see the files then they would not have been fired.

I’d have more respect for her if she’d taken the one million dollars to do that porno, used the money to care for/provide for her family, and retired from the spotlight. What a nutcase.

Cardinal Fang, an important piece of patient confidentiality is professional behavior and expectations. In the complex system that is a hospital, sometimes very low level employees have a legitimate need to have access to the records of everyone currently in the hospital. You can’t use the computer to control access, you have to do it in different ways - holding people responsible for violating confidentiality is one way to control access.

If you had 6 babies at home and one more arriving today, how many packs of diapers would you be buying? I thought this picture was interesting as she is only buying one small pack. I would think she would need cases and cases of diapers. Maybe this is so she can go shopping everyday and get out of the house-“Oh, we are out of diapers. Let me run to the store and buy a pack of 24 at a time so I can come back tomorrow.”

I suggest she buy stock in a diaper company.

After just reading this first sentence of your post, snowball:

I thought I was reading a math word problem from elementary school…Oy, it just is my former elementary school teacher brain at work. I think Octomom’s situation could be the basis of many mathematical word problems. :)

I opened the link that snowball provided and I must give Nadya this much credit…she looks darn good (skinny) in that photo after giving birth to 8 babies.

She’s going to be personally filling up a landfill with all those diapers!

I used cotton diapers with 2 out of three of my kids, but I was told I was destroying the ecosystem with my one extra load of laundry a week !

I read she is interested in doing a reality show. I wonder how many people are going to watch it ?

The diaper thing does sound like a word problem!

I agree - for a woman who just had 8 babies, she looks remarkably trim and fit! I can only imagine how 8 babies rearranges your internal organs…

You are all right, she does look thin; I just couldn’t see beyond the one pack of diapers! I know when I had one baby I bought a bigger box than that.

I was horrified to see that her car has been vandalized. Not good.

And the 7th baby was sent home today.

"OCTUPLET mother Nadya Suleman has hired security guards the day after someone hurled a baby seat through the window of her car which was parked outside her home.

Police in La Habra, California told the Los Angeles Times a nanny heard the sound of a crash about 3am local time.

When the day-shift nannies, who help to care for 12 of Ms Suleman’s 14 children, arrived about 7am, they saw the rear window of the Toyota Sienna had been smashed.

E! Online reported a neighbour heard a crash and saw, through the window, a white cargo van speeding off down the street.

Police have no suspects…"
