So my school has 4 blocked periods (1/2, 3/4, 5/6, 7/8). I have a predicament… I have most of my classes done and only need Pre-Cal, Bio, Texas gov, and Economics. My entire high school life I have been taking Dual Credit courses, and I will graduate with my associates in May. As of right now I have Pre-Cal (1/2A) Bio (3/4AB) and Go Center (1/2B) … SO I have 5/6 off and 7/8 off all year. The Go center class doesn’t give you a grade. I’m taking Texas Gov. online with a college, and Economics as well. I was wondering if me having those off periods would effect my GPA… Keep in mine ALL the classes I’m taking are AP/DC… THanks
You’d have to check with your GC, but I don’t think so. GPA isn’t affected by the number of classes you take but rather by the grades you receive in them. Otherwise people would avoid study hall like the plague (or more than they already do, at least on this site). As long as you’ve completed all your graduation/AA requirements and you aren’t interested in any other classes (or if they aren’t available) you should be fine.
