Phil from The Amazing Race! ?
Here’s one that goes so well with my nerdy intellectual Reza Aslan: Slash from Guns N’ Roses. And that man is objectively ugly. Yet…
Maybe it’s the hat.
Spock
Loving this thread, seconding many of the rockers as well as both the original Spock and younger one from the recent movies.
Also love Howie Long, ex football player turned sports newscaster
The perfect man – for the ages: Cary Grant. More recent: George Clooney, Maximillian Schell, Brad Pitt. Among my girl crushes: Emma Thompson, who seems smart, funny and very cool.
Singer crush - Gordon Lightfoot. That voice…
Jim Halpert.
Now, see, I crush so hard on Jim Halpert that I think, Doesn’t everyone? and so he’s mainstream. :x Who DOESN’T love Jim and Pam?
Most of these seem like obvious, handsome-guy crushes. Harrison Ford (chin-scar!) Denzel (those eyes) Washington, Michael J Fox (cutie) and Liam Hemsworth (Malibu Ken) and Colin Firth (more big brown eyes, and a nice mouth too)…
How about Deforrest Kelley, from the time I was 5? Bones was my dreamboat. I met him when I was 25, and I couldn’t even speak. I just stared at his cowboy boots (?) On LA Law, the show that starred Harry Hamlin and Corbin Bernsen, I liked Douglas. (Alan Rachman). The bald one.
I do also like all of the handsome actors mentioned above, and I would marry Tommy Lee Jones if I could. But I do love a nerdy bald guy in a nice suit.
Those two brothers on Zoboomafoo. Also, Zoboomafoo himself.
What about crushing on a man old enough to be my father? Once, after a large glass of wine, I met and talked with Clint Eastwood who was in his early 80’s and I got all school girl giggly about it. It was sort of embarrassing. But he is/was the best looking 80+ year old I’d every seen and nice and tall.
Okay. I’m going to type this. The first time I felt those weird butterflies, I was 15 and was thunderstruck by that first shot of Clark Gable (Rhett Butler) wickedly smiling up from the bottom of the stairs at the BBQ at Twelve Oaks in GWTW. I’ve always been Scarlett in my head. No one knows this. Now they do. :-S
Lol. Speaking of old dudes, how about Sir David Attenborough? Probably old enough to be my grandfather! Also, Morgan Freeman. But that would be mainstream.
@ChoatieMom , I don’t think it’s odd for us to imagine ourselves as some star in the movies. One of my best friends admitted that when she watches movies, she imagines she is that person. I’ve done the same, but never admitted it. I always fancied myself Cher in Moonstruck. Now you know, too! I always wanted to look like her in that movie.
No, I’m Scarlett in my head ALL the time.
Better be careful! Someone might link that to facebook!
I’m not on FaceBook.
TatinG, in my late 20’s, I realized one of the great things about getting older was how older men can look so attractive. Lol. (Up to a point, that is.)
I keep reading this subject as “Offbeat Celebrity CRUISES”.
Yikes.
