Reflection
Strengths: good stats overall (but i guess not good enough to really jump out - hence the waitlist)
Weaknesses: SAT I (particularly maths), lack of foreign languages
Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/rejected: Nothing outstanding plus particularly poor maths SAT1
Where else were you accepted/waitlisted/rejected:
Accepted: nowhere in the US but Cambridge in the UK
Waitlisted:
Rejected: Yale, Penn, Columbia, probably Harvard (waiting for post)
General Comments: I’m staying on the waitlist and very thankful to Dartmouth for putting me on it, but after seeing all the other amazing waitlisted applicants and the low waitlist acceptance rate, not feeling very hopeful. All my decisions were pretty disappointing -I’m kicking myself for being so crap at maths as I really reckon that brought my chances down so much. I know that I should be delighted at Cambridge, but I’d really put a lot of effort and hope into getting into somewhere in America. Aw well, though -there’s always postgrad. Well done everyone who got in here and/or at they’re other choices!

[/ul]Subjective:[ul]
[] Essays: Honestly, I thought it was one of the best things I’ve written in a long, long time. And I never read my best friend’s peer eval but I’m pretty sure she said some stunning things.
[] Teacher Recs: One of my teachers I was one of her favorite students. The other was a really good writer. So.
[] Counselor Rec: I assume it was good enough. I’ve never put a whole lot of stock in the counselor rec other than to excuse (for example) the fact that I couldn’t take BC Calc because it would mean I couldn’t take AP Econ. =
[] Interview: Never had one. This worried me because other people in my school were contacted for one, but I never was. I guess it’s all good though.
[] Hook (if any): None.
