Official 2011 AP Results Thread

Meenohead: Yes, it counts. After four years, I think, scores are archived, so you would need to pay extra to have that score sent to colleges, but the score will not be discarded as SAT/ACT scores for young students are.

Are you guys on the customer service line? Hahaha, is that why I am on hold and have to wait even though I literally called 5 minutes after they opened?

I got my scores. Turns out more than 15 tests can’t be handled by the automated system.
5: 11 (Enviro, Psych, BC, Chinese, Lit, Euro, Bio, Comp. Gov., Lang, Human Geo., World)
4: 5 (Spanish Language, Stat, Micro, Chem, Physics C: Mechanics)
3: 1 (Macro)
2: 1 (Physics C: E&M)

Haha, can’t say I’m surprised about E&M, but I was hoping for a 3. I was surprised about Chem, though. I like chemistry and thought I was great at it all year…I took the late, which had a pretty hard MC and a medium FRQ section. I did one better in Stat and got a 4, which is nice. Eh, it’s 80 cumulative which is exactly what I predicted. I hope the 2 on E&M doesn’t ruin my shot at State AP Scholar now that I only have 20 testa in the running.

This is the reason I hate College Board. This whole practice of paying $8 resembles hostage negotiations. CB has your scores, but how badly do you want them back?
CB= the epitome of big business

Eh, I’ll probably just end up paying. Damn.

Called at 5:45 AM central time and got 2011 scores for our kids in case anyone wanted to know a time they were available.

They both passed. They took Biology and Music Theory.

DSG3002 the same thing happened to me man. I was really expecting a 4 at least :/

5- english language/Psych
4- Apush/Macro
3- PHysics B

The 4 on Apush is weird considering I got an 800 on the US History subject test one day later. Should I cite the non-5s on applications for elite schools?

@ TheGovernator: Put them on your app, especially if you took the respective classes. In the grand scheme of things, you definitely won’t be penalized for having 4’s or even 3’s on AP exams. Plenty of students have made it to the Ivies and other top 20 schools with several 3’s and 4’s (and below) on their record.

ALL FIVES<3
chem, art history, calcAB, statslol, apush, 2D drawinglol, lang&comp, psych… another lol

Calc BC - 5 (self-study)
Chem - 5
CS A - 5 (self-study)
Eng Lang - 5 (self-study)
Music - 4 (stupid aural section)
Physics C: Mech - 5 (self-study)
Physics C: E&M - 4 (didn’t study enough, retaking next year) (self-study)
Psych - 5 (self-study)
Stats - 5
US History - 5

I’m mostly satisfied; that 4 in E&M really bugs me, though. Funnily enough, Music was one of the four APs that I actually took a class for, and I got a 5 on CS even though I am nearly incompetent in Java. In retrospect, maybe I should have skipped Lang and Psych and taken Bio (or nothing) instead. Those two tests were ridiculously easy.

3 on Calc and 4 on Chem & 2 5’s.
Even though I deliberately tried to not get 5’s by not studying (in a weird situation right now that it would be better to not get 5’s on some AP subjects), it’s still sad to break the all 5 trend. This is what you get for spending too much time on CC…
:(

I can’t believe I called but anyway-AP Word History late test (5), AP Lit (3), AP Macro (3). Word of advice to rising seniors, don’t let senioritis get the best of you because I know I could’ve done better. Also, take the exams that you need. With that my AP career is over.

Should I retake a 4 in Apush? Im a junior now.

3 English Literature
3 German
4 U.S. Government
5 Calculus AB
5 European History

I’m pretty satisified, considering that I hated math a year ago. European History I was pretty sure I got a 5, because I wrote my essays to death, and I just love the subject. But I’m surprised at English Literature and German, I thought I would have 4’s on those. Oh well. Since those were my last AP tests, I’ve made 3 5’s, 3 4’s, and 2 3’s.

Art History - 5 (self studied)
European History - 4

Im happy with both scores :)

Physics B 5
Macroeconomics 5
Calculus BC 5
US Gov/Pol 5
English Lang/Comp 5

Surprised by Physics as I 100% botched two of the 15 point FRQs

English Lang/Comp - 5
Psychology - 5
Spanish Lang - 5
U.S. History - 4

I’m extremely mad about the 4 in U.S. History. Sometimes I just wish we could see our raw score, and find out how close we were. :/

Got my scores from my college =] so I didn’t need to call.
Physics C Mech - 5
Physics C E+M - 5
Calculus BC -5 AB sub - 5
Biology - 5
Japanese - 3 I passed! =D
Micro - 5
Macro - 5

AP European History- 5
AP World History- 4
AP Comparative Gov’t & Politics- 5
AP Psychology- 4

All of them were self-studied. Though I felt a little disappointed with AP Psychology, supposedly the ‘easiest’ AP exam. I blame it on cramming the material and having no background knowledge on the stuff. Not retaking it, and AP World’s 4 wasn’t a 5 only because I bombed the FRQs.
Regardless, I’m satisfied with my scores. Looking forward to AP Scholar as junior!
