***Official 2015 June SAT (US Only) THREAD***

It sounds like they are not addressing that, which is a bummer.

Because some people had either reading then math for section 8 and 9 respectively, or vice versa, wouldn’t it make sense to cancel both sections because it is no longer standardized since people had the 20/25 minute misprint on both?

I didn’t even realize the misprint because I memorized how much time I had for each section, so I don’t know which section is getting thrown out for me :((

But my school was the first to call CB because there was an extra test so a proctor looked at it and found the mistake and called CB…they put her on hold for an hour and a half and we had to stay 30 extra minutes after we were done with the test. No one at my school had problems with the timing though.

I’m not saying everyone had the misprint but the fact that people did for either or both means it can’t be standardized

Best way to standardize everything: 2400’s to everyone

What did you its put for Jane Austen silences question???

@EasyNotSoMuch123 Well, that would make the scores meaningless. The whole purpose of testing is to provide a comparative measure. (I know you were kidding  )

I really hope both 8 and 9 aren’t scored

If we had section nine as CR and section 8 as math which one was the erroneous section that will not be graded?

was the misprint only on the reading section?

do you guys think that there is any chance of a more lenient curve? given that they’re taking away two sections??

They are only taking out one of the two sections @annoyingorange

They seriously should give us a lenient curve because they messed up. It’d be stupid to grade is harder for their mistakes.

@AmbitiousOrange where did you hear that? so it would be the CR section for me? that was the section that I had the 25 minutes to complete… i’d hate to get rid of the math section, 95% certain i only got one omitted in that one

@annoyingorange See post #2063 on the previous page

so the section thrown out will be the one that we had 25 minutes to complete?

to clarify

  1. 2.50 for notebooks ( im 100% sure of this)
  2. 10 for the radius of the sphere inside cube
  3. 12 for office space
  4. h(x) = 0

I remember that Section 8 was my section with the incorrect time, but I don’t remember if it was a critical reading section or a math section… can anyone confirm whether it was CR or M? Or does it depend on the book?

I think that it is more fair to only omit the section with the error. Scoring 8 out of 9 sections is more reflective of the actual score than scoring 7 out of 9 is.

@16elir it depends on what form, for me CR was section nine.
