Did anyone hear back from any neuroscience programs from these schools?
Stanford, UCSF, Caltech, Rockefeller, and MIT.

It seems that Stanford and UCSF have started contacting people, so it seems like I have been rejected.

I think Stanford neuroscience Home Program has started contacting students. Haven’t heard about any of the others. Maybe the different Home Programs send notices at different times? Can’t be sure, though.

Well, so much for visiting Stanford then.

just got an email invite from Johns Hopkins/NIH GPP. so far got 2 out of 8 interviews. Have yet to hear from the other 6.

If we haven’t heard from Berkeley MCB by this point, should we consider it over?

Hm, you never know. They might do their admissions in waves. I would guess that you weren’t chosen in their first wave, but who knows?

It’s a high profile program (isn’t it #1 in US News?) and it attracts a lot of applicants. I wouldn’t get your hopes up, but I wouldn’t rule it out either.

As anyone heard from Columbia? Tried searching through posts to find out but I’ve only seen one who’s heard back from pharmacology. I applied to the Integrated Program and Molecular Basis of Disease (as 2nd program). When are their interview dates?

Roxannecellbio: It says on Sloan-Kettering’s website that their recruitment weekend is Jan 20-22.

Applied: Yale (BBS), Harvard (BBS), Rockefeller U., Berkeley (MCB), Stanford (Biosci), MIT (Biology), NYU, Sloan-Kettering, Weill Cornell

Accepted: Rockefeller

Interviews: Yale, Berkeley, Stanford, Sloan-Kettering, Weill Cornell
Waiting: MIT, HMS

I’m an international applicant but I went to school here for my undergrad. If anyone has any idea about when to expect calls from MIT or Harvard, please do tell. All the best everyone.

I got an interview invitation from the NIH GPP dual program with Johns Hopkins! February 25-26th. See you there BioChem Guy!

would you mind sharing your stats Funkybuddha? thanks

“Roxannecellbio: It says on Sloan-Kettering’s website that their recruitment weekend is Jan 20-22.”

Thanks 411SL :-)

I guess I got rejected then… haven’t received an invite at this point.

A bit sad. I got an interview offer from Cold Spring Harbor but as my schedule is, I can’t make any of their interview weekends…and it’d be pretty mean/discourteous to tell a school you can’t interview w/ them anymore or would like to switch dates bc of another school.

Husband got an acceptance phone call from UAB. Official letter in the mail. Not really surprised since several of the people he interviewed with said they wanted to work with him. Nice to have one in the pocket.

roxannecellbio, I’m waiting to hear back from sloan-kettering as well. I read a post yesterday saying they’re still reviewing applications, and they’ll send out invites as late as Friday or Monday… I’m crossing my fingers!

Has anyone who applied to Stanford Micro and Immuno heard back yet?

How about Stanford Cancer bio?

Not at all, I mean…even though I felt like I was trying to date six women by applying to six schools last year, they really do understand that you are applying to other schools and all these interviews are relatively within the same time frame. If you can switch dates with another school (as long as the airline ticket has not yet been purchased) to make it to all your interviews go ahead and ask them. They want the chance to convince you to come to their school, they’ll help you work around things. I did it last year and it wasn’t really a problem.

How about Stanford Chem-bio haha?
