Zena, I heard back from UC-Davis Microbiology Graduate Group on Jan 14. They only offer me 1 choice of weekend (Feb 20-21). I have no idea if there are other weekends. Congrats on your interview invitation from Cornell. Did you apply to Cornell Weil or Ithaca? I am anxiously waiting to hear back from Cornell (ithaca) BBS. I applied to the field of comparative biomed sci under BBS umbrella program and have not heard from them yet.

Thanks virion. I guess I got denied by Davis then. Their phone was never answered when I called though.
I applied to Cornell Ithaca. Do you want to call them? I contacted microbiology on Jan 15th and was told the files were being reviewed and the invitations would be sent in early Feb. Maybe your program is of a similar pace.

I haven’t tried to call Cornell yet. They said on FAQ page that the decision is made by 1st week of Feb. So I guess I will wait until the end of next week. For Davis Microbiology, they have just changed new administrative assistant, so things may change. The old admin replied my email pretty fast, but that was before the deadline though.

Hi all, great thread, but it’s making me anxious! Does anyone know if Princeton Mol. Biol. is done with invites? It seems most people got them on Mon. or Tues. I’m international.

zena - The first UCLA ACCESS invites were sent in early-mid December. Try searching this thread for “access” and the exact dates should pop up. I believe invitations are still trickling out, since there are four interview weekends for this program. I feel like I’m in the same situation for UCSF Tetrad and Scripps, who have neither denied me nor invited me (while others on this forum have been)… My interpretation is that I’m somewhere at the bottom of a very long “waitlist” in case their earlier weekends don’t provide enough candidates.

Fignuts & ndufour - I heard from UCSD BMS on January 13. Again, try searching this thread for UCSD BMS and there should be several posts that pop up. As with UCLA though, I think invitations will keep trickling out until they have what they need. They initially invited me to one weekend only, and I know there are multiple weekends.

Just got rejection email from CMM at Johns Hopkins. Bummer.

@fignuts and ndufour: I heard back from UCSD BMS mid December, so my guess is that their adcom is fairly speedy.

Thank you chibichan. I guess one of the reasons I have not heard anything from UCLA or Davis is that I completed the application quite late- not until the deadline. There are many files to review before mine!

Finally got a rejection! Gerstner Sloan… oh well at least I could see it coming.

I got the rejection from them too this morning. Yes, at least some reply…

also rejected from sloan-kettering…cant say i didn’t see that one coming

For people getting rejected, is this via postal or via email?

And cheer up- it’s better to be rejected than not hear from them.

I wish I were to be rejected… waiting sucks. So far (I think) I’ve been rejected from Harvard BBS.

Anyone else for OX/CAM Feb 11-12?
