**OFFICIAL CAL POLY SLO CLASS of 2020 Regular Decision** Thread

Seems like all of the business acceptances have been handed out. Have heard of any since last Friday. If anybody wants to give us hope please do so.

Has anyone heard back for chemistry?

Has anyone got in already for computer science and lives in Computer Science. I just checked and it says “Thank you for applying to Cal Poly. We have received your application. No determination has been made at this time.” My last name starts with K.

Got in for Microbiology!
GPA: 4.25, ACT:32

Accepted into Civil Engineering!
ACT: 33
UW GPA: 3.8
Weighted GPA: 4.18

sorry i mean got in for comp sci

do you guys think more decisions are gonna come out in the upcoming days? Also, any instate biochem acceptances yet?

I think most but all of the toys have been given out

Hey. I got the admission status changed"Congratulations you have been accepted to admission…" But I havent received any email notification or acceptances. Am i in?

Any in-state history yet? Asking for a friend.

@102938lol Yeah! Poly seems to be super slow at sending out the emails, so you’ll probably get it within a couple days. The portals update immediately.

There should still be time for those who haven’t heard back, the only college that seems to have sent out a majority of their acceptances is engineering. Be patient everyone!

@102938lol: Yes you are in. Post your major, stats and MCA score to help others on this thread.

Someone at my school got into psychology which I believe is CLA? I’m guessing I’m out at this point. I’m gonna stop checking now. Good luck to everyone!

Just happened to log in here and saw all the acceptances, so I checked my daughter’s portal (don’t know when it updated) and found:

Accepted: Architectural Engineering (In State)
UW GPA: 4.00 (Class Standing: 1/500)
WGPA: 4.50
SAT: 2070 (Math: 760 Reading: 630 Writing: 680)
ACT: 32 (Math: 34 English: 33 Reading: 32 Science: 28)
9 AP’s: Test Scores all 4’s except Calc BC (5)
Captain of Academic Decathlon Team (Won 2015 County; twice to California State Championships)
Frosh/Soph Basketball and Track
(No other EC’s)
Caucasian
Female
Income: $375K

Frankly, with our income, we don’t qualify for ANY financial assistance and few (if any) scholarships; so Cal Poly is a great option. She’s still waiting to hear from USC, UCLA and UCSD, but considering the cost, even if accepted, Cal Poly may still be her top choice. It’s a great school!

[I should know; I studied Mechanical Engineering at Pomona in the 80’s…]

So…is this it for acceptances? Or is there another wave in a week or so? Would rather be realistic… Materials Engineering

@PoolShark223 frankly unless you have 20 kids I doubt you need financial aid at that income level or even bother applying for it! Both my parents work full time and make less than a third of that/live in one of the priciest places in the bay, and I know I will get $0 even though there will be 3 of us (twins+lil sis) in college at once but that’s only to be expected. For my private schools im getting half my tuition covered by merit aid and $2k through FAFSA (at most lol).
