Still haven’t heard anything…am I the last applicant standing??? :-)

It’s quite the opposite actually.
While UM has a high volume of applicants, specifically EA applicants, very few of the people who are accepted actually enroll.
The EA decisions are extremely selective and aim to primarily get the creme of the crop in. However, your odds of getting in as a deferred EA applicant are higher than a RD applicant. Not only because it shows interest in the universe but because the average RD applicant isn’t nearly as qualified as the average EA applicant. Look at the statistics, most EA applicants who where deferred are in the 75th percentile. The reason being that UM EA is extremely conservative.

^ Keep Talking… =]

Got the deferral asking for first semester grades…decision not until April. Good luck to everyone who hasn’t heard yet and to those of us who now have to wait again…:-(

I got in!

Feels good after getting deferred to UChicago.

Congratulations @jawbreaker81! Is UofM your top choice?

Got in.
32 ACT, 3.74 GPA, in-state. See y’all next year hopefully!

Congrats Jawbreaker!

Hey I was deferred and got the email last Sunday just curious why I still don’t have an application decision link on my WA even though all decisions are out today the 23rd

@mets25: Because a deferral is not a final decision. Best of luck mate.

Anyone know if Michigan is gonna send me an acceptance package in the mail since I got in?

They are! They’re supposed to be postmarked by today so you’ll probably get it in a few days(:

My son got his acceptance package yesterday, and he got his email last friday.

Accepted! I got my email today but still no acceptance package in the mail. So excited!!

Deffered - Industrial Engineering
ACT: 32, 34 Superscore
GPA: ~3.6 unweighted, 4.15 weighted
Ethnicity: Indian/Asian
OOS

I know someone said that they were put into the summer bridge program. When are we notified if we are going to be put into that program?

if you have been accepted then you are not in the program… they would have notified you with the letter

I was accepted and I am in the program. It was included in my acceptance email. If you are “invited” to the program, you must attend and if you don’t, you cannot attend umich. If you want to be in the program you have to call the comprehensive studies program and express your interest.

Thanks lindsyoxo and Aeriss. I was wondering because a few kids who were accepted from my school last year had to attend, so I thought I might have to too. I have plans for the summer so I didn’t want that to be the reason for me not attending Umich in the fall. You guys have a blast though!!!
