is it possible to switch from LSA to engineering before you begin your freshman year?

Did anybody hear from Ross pre admission?

@mets25

No. In order to transfer to the college of engineering, there are some requirements you must fulfill first.

You are required to take:
[ul]
[]MATH 115/116
[]PHY 140/141
[]CHEM 130/125L/126L or CHEM 210/211L
[]ENGR 101 or EECS 183.[/ul]
and one of the following:
[ul]
[]CCLIV 101 or 121
[]COMPLIT 122
[]ENGLISH 124 or 125
[]GTBOOKS 191
[]HISTORY 195
[]LHSP 125
[]RCCORE 100
[]SLAVIC 151
[/ul]

You must complete these classes with a minimum GPA which is determined by the individual department and varies between 2.5 and 3.2.

well those classes are basically the ones i would be taking in LSA anyway so it wouldn’t be too difficult

My daughter was accepted on 3/19 after being deferred EA in Dec. So there is still acceptance to be given so don’t lose hope. :)

@lisa1931 would you share your daughter’s stats? are you oos and what school did she apply to?

We are in state and she applied to LSA. I don’t all the stats, but her GPA is 3.96 ACT 24 all her core classes were AP and she has a lot of community service. She will also be attending the summer bridge program. Which I’m fine with because it’ll give her time to get to know the campus and the expectation of the professors. I hope this helps, sorry it’s not more detailed.

Are the acceptances/rejection notices for EA students who were deferred coming by snail mail or e-mail?
