*Official Class of 2016 University of Michigan EA Decisions Thread*

i have a 2240 SAT and a 4.82 weighted GPA. how does that compare with anyone deferred?

guys serious question, i was always under the impression that for EA applicants, if u arnt accepted u are deffered and that noone is flat out rejected…are people rejected too?

just got word…deferred…still very hopeful! Does that mean it will fall to their rolling admissions for RD? meaning when is the earliest we might find out if deferred has been converted to accepted?

No, Michigan rejects people.

o ok thx man…tht makes me more nervous as i havent got an email lol

Neither have I. =/

So did everyone who is going to get accepted already get accepted? Is there even a second batch of acceptance letters?

well thanks u mich by indirectly telling me that i was rejected :(

Deferred. Ugh. Well, life goes on.

just read an article that in many cases, early action acceptances are likey due to the school taking the best of the best given the choice from the existing pool. That being said, many deferrals are in good favor because many of those Early Actions acceptances will likely accept at other universities…just a thought…

i havnet even gotten an email yet, and WA still up for me

Is suicide to melodramatic at this point…

guys. i just check the 2015 thread though and i see ppl getting accepted again on the 23rd. o.O they had a whole lot of deferrals on monday, the 20th. (apparently, they didn’t send out decision over the weekend last year.)

You best not be messing with me bigeast…

@bigeast i am hoping u are not giving me false hope

Hey, that’s actually some good news @bigeast24881. Here’s to not getting a mail till the 23rd? :stuck_out_tongue: LOL

Best not be trolling…

No one from my son’s school has gotten their emails yet, and UMich typically accepts a large number of these kids EA (75%), so I don’t think UMich is sending them out on the basis of accept/defer/deny. My son’s advisor said kids are notified based on the date of their application, but that doesn’t seem to be the case here, either. I can’t discern any pattern based on what kids are reporting here, so maybe everyone should just try to stay positive because there are definitely more acceptances on their way.

now I am hoping I don’t get an email until Tuesday, since hypothetically Monday will be rejection day

has anyone heard of any acceptances today?
