That’s what I’m thinking bigeast. Unfortunately, I’m right on that cutoff, from what I can tell. 31 ACT, 3.6GPA, strong essays and recs… I’ve been here on CC and gmail all day waiting for a decision.

I still haven’t heard anything either…I was wondering if anyone has heard who applied to both LS&A and SMTD- none of my friends that I have talked to who are doing musical theatre have heard yet

Help me.

What is the “bad” deferred letter and what is the “good” deferred letter?

someone from the Midwest over on the M.I.T. board got deferred w/a 2390 SAT and 800s on 3 of his SAT IIs. If only he had gotten those extra 10 points on the SAT.

@placido240 the good one doesn’t ask for you to send grades in.

jawbreaker. yea. same. quasi-high stats that may or may not be accepted by ivies. hmmmmmmm. well, we’re in for a long wait arent we?

If your deferred, do most people hear in April or is it normal to hear anytime within the next couple months

gabbadabadoo, I was LSA/SMTD and deferred.

I thought you got deferred earlier today east? Or am I just confusing all you dudes in this thread?

lol lindsy, i sorta don’t roll w/ the whole good/bad deferral thing. it can be interpreted both ways no? if they want your semester grades, perhaps they’re more interested in you and would want more of ur info.

they’re all just deferrals in the end. haha ^^DD

deferred for engineering

My Wolverine Access just updated! There is now a view decision link that comes up, and when I click on it my application info is restated, there is a congratulations letter and a link to respond to the admission offer.

oh i haven’t received anything yet jawbreaker. ive been anxiously awaiting my decision since yesterday morning until now. and will prolly till the 23rd ^^

when they dont ask for your semester grades people last year have gotten in within a week of getting deferred.

Finnyoo, unless you are making a decision before April 30, it doesn’t matter much. I know people who have waited until the morning of April 30 to decide, but no one who has had the guts to push it until midnight on that day or even until May 1. More than a few people will pay a deposit to go to a college and forfeit it if they come off a wait list at a preferred school in Mid-May also.

Deferred. They asked for my grades so is this the good or bad deferral?

Bad deferral.

Thank you pleaseadvise, yea I’m IS and going to put a deposit to msu but hopefully forfeit it if I get accepted later

Just got deferred, guys ![]()
This is worrying me a little because some of the schools I’m waiting to hear from are more competitive than UMich. Oh well…waiting game, here we go again!
Good luck to everyone who hasn’t heard back yet. It’s not a death sentence if you’re still waiting; it’s true that deferrals are being sent out today, but I think some acceptances still are too.

Can anybody please post an example of a “good” deferral?
