For those of you posting Acceptance/Deferral stats, would you mind adding the time that you were emailed (and date)? Some of us are trying to figure out if any of these decisions are also being sent out today, or if they’ll be coming out more on Monday. Thanks!

I got my deferral email yesterday at 5:30

Yeah do that ^^^^^^

I got my acceptance email at 5:02 est but it popped up on WA around 4:30.

Accepted!
OOS from NJ
2190 SAT Top ten percent varsity athlete demonstrated interest volunteer etc…
Can’t even wait!

Hey everyone!
So i was just accepted to Michigan.
My SAT superscore (which they take) is a 2020
and my weighted GPA is a 4.5
… I got my at 2 (CA time)

Michigan does not superscore.

whoops! then it was a 1960

everyone saying their GPA isn’t an accurate representation of their academic talent… trust me i feel you. in freshman and sophomore year i was taking the most rigorous courseload my school offers and it was just too difficult for me. the counselor i had at the time refused to let me move down a level (she was awful). i was also being diagnosed with a chronic illness at the time which made focusing in school pretty difficult.
however, if mich is your top choice, i suggest writing them a letter. a friend of mine was in a similar position last year (deferred, loved mich) but he wrote them a letter stating the extenuating circumstances and saying that mich is top choice, etc. he was eventually accepted.

also, might be a dumb question, but when you all post your weighted gpas is it out of 5.0?

this is also a dumb question, but where do we write our letters to?

that is a very not dumb question, i’ll ask my friend haha. i think he wrote it to the admissions office (the one on your email)

Has anyone heard today?

???

I was accepted to LSA yesterday at about 4:45. My decision was on WA and I didn’t get the email until 7:15 yesterday night.
GPA: 3.95 unweighted
ACT: 30
Varsity figure skating, captain, dance for 13 years, volunteer work with special needs kids among other clubs and activities
I thought my essays were bad but I’m a decent writer
Total of 5 AP’s, 1 IB

I’d also like to know to what address I could possibly write a letter… I mean, I realized I completely didn’t mention it in my application, as I felt it’d be sort of bad to take advantage of this circumstance, but the entire Sophomore year where I was having the issues I did, my father was off in Kuwait on duty. I had nobody to really help me at all. Not that I would base the letter on that at all, no, but I WOULD like to be able to explain to them just how extremely important a UMich education is to me. >:

I got deferred yesterday around at 8:25 I got the medium letter.

GPA: 4.1 W (my school doesn’t give unweighted)
SAT: 1950

Sports: Varsity tennis since freshman year, captain senior year & varsity pole vault since sophomore year
Work experience: lifeguard (4 years), tutoring a child with a learning disability (half a year), nanny (2 years)
Activities: Yearbook Photography Editor, Model UN, Highly involved with producing video and photo content for MSG Varsity, drama club, national honor society, other misc clubs
Community Service: over 300 hours total, shows consistency helping with my schools middle school play & creating a website and PR campaign for a church

Recommendations: 1 very strong, 1 slightly above average, and my counselor knows me well
Essays: i think they were very good

I applied specifically for screen arts and cultures and my application reflected my interest and experience in the area.

Has anything come out today

I got my notification around 11 am yesterday.

Looks like no luck for people today then? Probably Monday, then, being that most people don’t work on Sunday for this kind of stuff, right? UChicago releases their stuff on Tuesday, and if I don’t get into UMich–well, at least I like my fallback school. Soooo tired of waiting to hear even about a deferral (provided they aren’t doing rejections Early Action?)
