Yea I applied EA to 3 other schools because I was (and still am) under the impression that ED Columbia allows such a thing

From the Columbia website:

"According to the National Association for College Admissions Counseling guidelines, “while pursuing admission under an Early Decision plan, students may apply to other institutions, but may have only one Early Decision application pending at any time.” While Columbia does not necessarily encourage the filing of both Early Decision (binding) and Early Action (non-binding) applications, we do not prohibit candidates from doing so. However, candidates should be aware that Columbia’s Early Decision program is a binding agreement and a candidate will be expected to enroll, regardless of any pending applications (early or otherwise). "

There you have it.

Best of luck everyone. I hope you all get some SLEEP tonight! ;)

1 day!!!

Someone needs to make an official ED results thread =) we have one in the cornell board

good luck guys! Tomorrow will be a very important day for all of us!

–For those of you that didn’t see it before

@cortana431 ED results thread will be up tomorrow morning to avoid burial.

where is the results thread?

@Where to you apply ED to? Columbia or Cornell?

me after i get my rejection: [George-Michael as Charlie Brown - YouTube](<a href=“George-Michael as Charlie Brown - YouTube”>George-Michael as Charlie Brown - YouTube)

@vediii hahah TobiasFunkeBlue would love that video!

Earlier, someone asked exactly how and where the decision will be on the webpage. I found this from last year… [Class of 2015 ED Send Off Bwog](Class of 2015 ED Send Off - Bwog)

That looks like simply a different picture than the Low Library photo currently posted on the official Columbia admissions countdown page. So, my guess is that you open that page and WHAM there it is.

less than 24 hrs!

oh, @mustangman, thanks for posting that. At least Columbia gets straight to the point about it.

from bwog comments: “Tell your close friends, posting it on FB cannot be rationalized. It is not ok.” ooh. touchy.

Would people prefer that I put up the results thread tonight?

Somebody should do some CSI-style image enhancement and read the addresses on those envelopes. (On the photo slide show)

^Not really… I really don’t want it to be buried. In fact, I think it would be best if you posted it like 5 mins before the results come out.

If you could post the template on this thread, that would be nice because I’d rather just put “Rejected/or something else if I’m super lucky” than filling out every blank tomorrow.

The template is here: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/columbia-university/1043382-official-columbia-early-decision-class-2015-results-only-stats.html

Please remember to remove spaces or you’ll look silly! XD

Less than 24hours!
Good luck everyone!

Oh, I know people have said this before, but regardless of whether I get in or not, I really appreciate you guys and your ability to keep me optimistic but grounded. I wish I could bake a cake filled with rainbows and smiles and everyone would eat and be happy…
