Guess they care more about ethnic background than academic performance. Their loss.

Hmmm well I’m Mexican, with a 3.9 and I work full-time and go to school full time and I still got denied @fus10n

I got rejected but I have one question. I applied to the normal Columbia College (film major) yet the letterhead says, “The Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Sciences”. Does everyone else’s say that? I definitely didn’t apply to the engineering program.

ACCEPTED! Oh my god I feel like I am dreaming, I got rejected last year!

rejected, just as I was expecting. oh well.

waitlisted, like last year…

Accepted. Solid.

Rejected. Not surprised.

Rejected with a 3.84 and a 30 on the ACTs. Not surprising.

Rejected, unsurprisingly. Congrats who those who got in!

I don’t know what these people are actually looking for… I guess it’s all just a game. The lucky ones get selected.

was anyone waitlisted?

do people actually get off the waitlist

*to those who got in

Rejected. But I got into NYU today which was my top choice so it’s all good! Congrats to those who were accepted!

Accepted to engineering. 3.85 at top 5 public school & 2320 SATs

i think they made a mistake. i got into engineering, but i have never taken a science class and did not apply as an engineer?

accepted! i applied as a sophomore physics major

positive recs from a physics professor and my scholars’ class instructor. i didn’t see them but they would definitely have been more professional than personal, though i received an A in each class so they’re probably pretty good

HS GPA: 90.6/100 weighted (not great but w/e)

awards:
national merit scholar, president’s scholar, binghamton university scholar, dean’s list

other potentially notable things:
- i’m a TA for introductory calc-based physics 1
- i’m a second semester freshman and 4 of my 5 courses this semester are at the 300 level or above

Waitlisted, engineering applicant.

College GPA: 4.0
High School GPA: 4.0
ACT: 32
Applied from a state university
Essays: Really specific to Columbia. Discussed what research I would like to get involved with and specific classes that I would take. I also talked about how Columbia would allow me to take some humanities classes though I am an engineer, something I would like to do but can’t do at my current institution
Additional Comments: My first two semesters of college were full of difficult classes, and I think that helped a lot

I got into the Fu Foundation. I actually just made this account to come here and say that b/c i see there are other people who got in too. I’m still waiting to hear from Stanford, Yale, and UPenn, though!

I’m a junior transfer (I’m a sophomore right now). If you want my stats I’ll give them but I’m trying to study for my last final so it’ll be a little while. Also I’m not really bent on becoming a regular on college confidential.
