Official Cornell Class of 2019 Early Decision

2 days… Anyone else a Human Ecology hopeful?

@annwank well said!

@wemadeit15‌ me :slight_smile:

<a href=“This Is - YouTube”>This Is - YouTube; :x

48 hours, 17 minutes…

@wemadeit15 I am!! For Human Development. And you ?

Wait are international applicants even compared to “regular” applicants or do they set aside a quota for each?

On the bright side! Since we’re all freaking out and have unhealthily high heart rates, I’m sure we’re burning extra calories to offset all the stress eating. That’s what I like to tell myself at least :D

@Cornell19 that’s some pretty solid logic :P

@Cornell19 I like your saying because I just had a “supersize” meal

With under 48 hours left, I feel it is time to make another speech/rant/whatever…

We all deserve to succeed in life. We have all put forth our best effort and we all should get what we want. And what we want…is to get accepted to one of the country’s leading educational institutions, Cornell University. Unfortunately, life isn’t that easy. We don’t always get what we want. And sometimes, trying our hardest isn’t even good enough. But that doesn’t mean we failed. It means that they failed. They failed to see why we would strive at Cornell.

So don’t take a rejection, or a deferral as a sign of defeat, take it as a motivation. Wherever you end up, continue to try your hardest. And in the end, show Cornell why they were wrong.

If you are one of the lucky few to be accepted, congratulations! You deserve it! Have the best time ever at Cornell, but just be a little careful on this thread. There are going to be plenty of people who are angry, and you are a prime suspect to take it out on.

Good luck everyone!

Well said @jamesjunkers‌. Like I said earlier, “Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss you’ll land among the stars.” Even if you don’t get in to Cornell, I can almost guarantee that you have put yourself in a position where you’ll be a very strong candidate for many other prestigious universities.

@hotelieatheart‌ no I am a US citizen. Actually I have mostly restaurant experience and made sure to emphasize my love for the hospitahospitality industry through food.

Well…
I hereby swear that I will not be a jerk, even if I should not make it in.

Hey, can one of you tell me when the ED results are being released? Note: I am not an applicant.

@JWhite2013‌ ED results are coming out December 11th at 5pm EST

Ha, thanks, so finals week, looks like everyone is stressed out.

Well not everyone :P. I don’t have enough time or energy to waste it on being stressed

So we’re finding out how to access our decisions on the day the decisions come out? Omg.

For Engineering, is it almost a requirement to have previous engineering experience at all?
