@whatamom CC is mostly moms we’re all used to it

@whatamom the people in admissions may be lurking here…I could be one! Who knows…

Did any of you guys send mid term transcripts?

@Kungpaoasian Yeah, I did

cornell’s ranked 1st in future earnings. we beat harvard and every other school

Hello all. I am another mom sitting on pins and needles waiting for the big decision. My daughter applied to ILR.

@Kungpaoasian My mock examinations start on the 8th Dec, and I get the results on the 20th of Jan. Don’t think I’ll be able to send them to any university

@hopefulrm When and how?

@Kungpaoasian for Q1 grades you get your counselor to submit the optional report on the common app. i think that’s what i did

@Kungpaoasian ^^ What @missartsygirl said. I’m not sure how my college counselor did it exactly. He just asked me if I wanted him to send in my mid-semester grades, and I can see on the Common App that Cornell has received them

So Cornell financial aid office just emailed me because they wanted my parent’s business returns too. I only sent them the income returns. Does the financial aid office calculate financial aid for all applicants or just accepted applicants???

@Kungpaoasian Yes, my GC sent my Q1 (mid-semester) grades.
@SweeticeTea It either means something or it doesn’t haha, just wait the 8 days and you will have your answer.
And to whomever asked some pages ago where all the girls are on this chat, here I am :)

@connect1234 @hopefulrm So you guys have a check mark by mid year report on your Common App?

I didn’t ask my GC to send in any further reports. I’m just over 1/4 of the way through my school year anyways…

For me I only have the ED agreement and School Report checked off, but on the portal my transcript is checked off??

@Kungpaoasian It is the same for me. I have a feeling the Common App may not show a check for the mid-year report.

@SweetIcedTea I may be wrong but I believe Financial Aid and Admissions work independently. Financial Aid builds a packet for every student that applies for Financial Aid, regardless of whether or not they’re accpeted. So no, it doesn’t mean anything.

@Kungpaoasian no check mark by mid year report, am guessing that my GC uses that to upload Term 1 (Q1+Q2) grades for RD apps or ED deferral apps
But it is my school’s policy to send Q1 grades for all ED/EA apps, no doubt about it (haha some have tried to get them not to and they warned us not to let senior slump hit too soon)

@Mosro38 @connect1234 Thank you for checking it out

@Kungpaoasian On my portal, it doesn’t give an option for the midyear report. But in my Common App, when I go to Cornell under My Colleges, in the Recommenders section, it shows when they downloaded my ED Agreement, School Report, and Option Report, which I’m assuming is my mid-semester report
