<p>I hate to be a downer, but I don’t agree with the notion that those who ED to Cornell just because they want to go to an Ivy will be somehow exposed in their essays. We’re all ED applicants! Who is anyone to judge how much you truly love a school? What it I just had a bad day during my interview… </p>
<p>true that. @Connor2019 Also, the Cornell essay wasn’t why cornell - it was why ‘the certain college you applied to’. It doesn’t take one much time to go on to their website and do little research to show their interest in that school…</p>
<p>@jeff0418 ya exactly. Like for my intended major the most sensible thing was to relate it to community service. And like almost everyone has done some sort of community service. It shouldn’t be that difficult for an intelligent person to tailor an essay to fit, without even blatantly lying </p>

I think they announced it on the 5th last year… </p>
<p>@jeff0418 they released it on the 5th the last two years. They give you the actual ID a few days before the date though.</p>
