Official Cornell Class of 2019 Early Decision

@Cornell19‌ So sometime today?!? Yay!!!

@Connor2019‌ that was sort of my point earlier. All of us here obviously applied ED because we love Cornell. However a lot of people don’t apply for that reason, they want to get in to an Ivy, and they think playing the “ED card” is their best bet. That’s why I think selectivity will play a role in total admit number. Before it was clear cut to pick Cornell because it was >30%. That’s no longer the case so applicants just playing the card will have tougher choice. However this is just my opinion, feel free to agree and disagree please, we won’t know for sure until December 12th or whenever they release data.

Edit: @jeff0418‌ I hope!! I’ve been checking website

Slightly off topic, MIT announced that they’ll be releasing EA decisions on 12/13. Hoping for a similar announcement or email from Cornell soon.

Is human ecology easier to get into than other schools per se cas or engineering?

What website will the update be posted on?

@jamesjunkers‌ I’m guessing that on admissions.cornell.edu page, we’d see a new News item that points to a link with the details. The link will probably be to a website that’s similar to this one: http://admissions.cornell.edu/news/early-decision-notification-update-0

I’ve been watching their Twitter and FB all day

I’d be really disappointed if it wasn’t the 11th,just because that would mean at least 5 people on this firm flat out lied about calling admissionz

The only news they’ve posted in more than a week is on the SAT scores for RD.

I downloaded the CAAAN calendar PDF file and checked properties. It dates back to Oct 7th. So it appears Cornell planned the Dec 11 decisions release date even before they knew of the # of ED applicants. The keyword there is “planned.” May their plans hold good. Doing breathing exercises now :)

“Here’s How Many Eager Students Applied Early This Year To Get Into The Ivy League”

<a href=“Here's How Many Students Applied Early to Each Ivy League College This Year for the Class of 2019”>Here's How Many Students Applied Early to Each Ivy League College This Year for the Class of 2019;

tl;dr
Dartmouth +10.3%
UPenn +4.8%
Princeton -1%
Yale -1.2%
Brown -2.4%

Cornell and other ivies don’t release their numbers until later.

@quartzz So I’m guessing Upenn had the highest percentage of ED acceptances, so far…

@sam182rod‌ I’m not sure about that. Where did you get that from? We won’t know of acceptances until later. Maybe I’m missing something.

Lol anyone else constantly refreshing their email

@jamesjunkers‌ admissions committee said 11th. someone took a picture of the email

@quartzz oh sorry, thought those were the percentage of acceptances, My bad

@JohnHb short answer: ya I think. I’m a HumEc applicant.
