Official Cornell Class of 2019 Early Decision

Regarding the music, why don’t you just mute your sound if you’re so worried about hearing nothing??? Jeez

Freshman quad and the custom lo mein bar!

@ncurcio6‌ I was there over the summer and it was a bit muted. Lots of construction. Many roads closed. Wish I could have gone another time. My friends have told me it’s a totally different environment when school’s on. So I had to do a bit of projecting. I can only imagine how vibrant the place would be Sep-May.

Anyone is doing ED @Cornell and EA at some other school??

@njkid97, yes, I applied EA to plenty of schools…

If I get accepted this is what will be going on in my head… <a href=“Cornell University Homecoming 2014 Fireworks & Laser Light Show - YouTube”>Cornell University Homecoming 2014 Fireworks & Laser Light Show - YouTube;

How much of an impact does attending Cornell University Summer College have on an application?

Probably helps, but not very significantly.

@shortfry17 That’s a great link, thanks! :)

I’m pretty sure none of that stuff has any effect

Hi guys just want to know has anyone got an email yet? Applied to CAS, so nervous haha

I agree with @Zenithar143 I don’t think attending summer classes would help in any way whatsoever…

Good luck to everyone taking SATs or SAT subject tests tomorrow… Hopefully we’ll be canceling our scores next Thursday night… Goodnight!

Why would you cancel your scores…? Even if you do get in to Cornell, wouldn’t you still be curious? You studied for the test. You paid for the test. You took the test. Wouldn’t you want to know what you got on the test?

i heard that taking classes doesnt help one bit, otherwise a lot of people would be taking classes there

Did you guys get emails from Cornell saying that ED results come out on the 11th?

@rancherjolly98‌, have u received it already?

@rancherjolly98‌

Would taking classes and then having a professor recommend you benefit your app? I know a few people who had that done…

If a college class adds to your story (say, the class aligns with your goals and is not commonly offered), you get great grades in it, you parlay your connections into recommendations, etc., then it can only help you, no? However, if you took a 2 week “Introduction to Underwater Basket Weaving”, then … well … who knows :-)

I have not taken any college classes, but if any of you have, good for you. Hopefully it enhanced your story.
