Got in last night to Hotel. Wishing everyone else the best. Don’t know anyone else that was accepted at this point, seems like only a few letters were sent out.
Do you guys think that the official release date will be the last Thursday of the month like previous years or the 28-29th (also like previous years)?
It will be the 31st.

So I just found out that people have started to receive acceptances–both people who were deferred and those who pplied RD. Two people posted that they received letters this past week from the ILR school–on Wednesday and yesterday. I also heard others discussing their acceptances. These seem to be from various schools. I feel like that does not bode well for those who have not heard anything yet despite the official notification date being at the end of March…
Just read all these postings about acceptances. Trying to stay optimistic for my kid but it does not look good I’m afraid…Well, I didn’t get into my first choice school and wound up loving my second choice so there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
Keep in mind about your geographic location. All the people I know who received an acceptance letter are from the east coast. Due to the heavy storm and delivery time, it will take longer for the letters to arrive at the west coast. Stay optimistic, everyone. Believe in yourself!
Keep in mind, only ILR and Hotel have released acceptances. The other 5 schools will only be released on Ivy Day, tentatively 3/31
Well I know of someone who got into CAS… I really want to know if someone else has been accepted to a school other than ILR or Hotel.
What about us internationals? :-/

My daughter applied RD with human ecology as first choice and is waiting for a decision. We received a message thursday night on our answering machine from a student in the human ecology school. The student wanted to know if my daughter had any questions about the school of human ecology or general questions regarding residential life. She left her email address. Of course my daughter sent an email back. I wonder if this means anything at all??!!

Yeah @FriskySquirrel They are probably lying like @jamesjunkers said, he may have heard some people saying they were accepted so he too said he had been accepted.
@2girls2015 Congrats! From everything I have read, that phone call is an acceptance. Would you mind sharing your daughter’s stats? My daughter also applied.
@2girls2015: Though it seems like a good sign, I definitely wouldn’t go as far as to say it’s an acceptance as @lisaol is saying. Yes, there is a chance it implies acceptance, but assuming seems silly to me. Why get your D’s hopes up, and then, come three weeks from now, see you were wrong?
@jamesjunkers Look at last year’s posts. Everybody who received that call was admitted. I agree that it could be different this year but if history indicates anything… then that is an acceptance sign.
I know he got into Cornell. I saw the letter (sort of). Well, I saw a picture he took of the letter (with his name and address on it) saying “Congratulations! The admissions selection committee… has approved your application to Cornell University…” The problem is that he took a picture of part of the letter, that is, it cuts in the ellipsis part in my quotation, so the college he applied to doesn’t show up.
He could be lying as to what college he applied to, which I don’t see why he would. Also, he probably wouldn’t have known acceptances were sent had he not received one.
